Kinda like that 85% Remington 11/87 that the guy (private table) was ASKING $265 for!!!!!!!! Probably in 30 seconds of haggling could have been OTD for $250. >:( I had just bought a gun, and really would have had difficulty explaining it to the Misses. She doesn't really get my addiction :-[

I agree on the M-48 vs M-48A. I really don't think that the milled vs stamped will have any affect on function or being "Mauser smooth", but I hate those dimples in the floorplate of the stamped 48A's. I passed on two M-48's that were in GREAT, and I mean GREAT overall condition at a gunsh...

Carguy, I really don't think you could have picked a better set of grips. i mean it. The color and grain structure if just PERFECT for the stainless (or is it nickel) Star. Jealous....green and jealous! What a great size for carry, too. Not too small, but not too big....just a true midsize. Congrats.

You really like it? It says cherry....but i think it's more of a mahogany finish. Oh, the gun! Yeah, thanks man. I love it. Just hope to get her running like a clock. I got it for so cheap, that I'll be able to dish out some $$ to the gunsmith.

Well, A buddy of mine bought a gun new back in maybe 2000. He had problems with it, had all the springs replaced, and it still didn't run right. So, he just put it in the back of his safe. It's one of the H&K clones made by Special Weapons. He ended up buying a real HK-94, and just stuck this on...
