What if the slide is not slamming around so much with the stiffer spring and is shaking the magazine less?

I think the sideways thing is for "spray and pray" where you use the natural muzzle climb to sweep the muzzle across your target. Not effective IMHO.

My 1976 third variation has a plum colored slide (in contrast to the more black slide of my '67). It seems to show more wear than my '67.

Put some clear nail polish over the paint. I used the bright sights paint and holster wear wiped it off my P-64.

I usually carry to church and take pains to be VERY low key in my carry (P-64 helps)!

I might have had all the parts, but I didn't want to risk it. Wife came up with a huge ziploc bag all the parts fit into.

I don't know that you can quantify it.

For instance, when I go out at night, my 27 with tritium sights goes with me. (Easier to conceal.)

During the day, I often carry the P-64. I do like the slim profile.

It's all about what you like. And everybody is different.

Waaaah! I got my Polisk AK underfolder kit today. The person who packed the kit just put it loose in a box with paper packing material. The oil bottle leaked and disintegrated the bottom of the box! I have no clue whether all the parts are there! The dealer (Cheaper than Dirt) will send me a replace...
