First Range Report...Mixed Results
I guess it's a good thing I went and bought that 500 rounds of ammo from ATG. I think all I'll be shooting in the future will be about 50 rounds at a time. At that rate, my stock should last me quite a few years!

First Range Report...Mixed Results
As far as accuracy, I started out at 10 yards first and that's when I noticed it was more high and to the left. I brought it in to 7 yards and it was still slightly high. At 7 yards, I struggled to keep 7 rounds in the head of the sillouette target. I had a lot of forehead shots and some cheek shots...

First Range Report...Mixed Results
I finally made it to the range to shoot my little "pole". I guess I didn't know what I was expecting. I've never shot a Makarov caliber before. I know people have been talking about the recoil, but I really wasn't expecting it. Even after I swapped out to the 22 lb recoil spring, this litt...

WELCOME THREAD AND MEM, INFO
I've been a member here for about a month or so. I stumbled onto this place when I was looking up info on Makarovs. I didn't originally intend to even buy a P-64, but after doing some reading on here I was convinced I needed one. I joined here and bought one within a few days later. I'm a big gun en...

silencer?
I've seen silencers for .22s that aren't that expensive. And I guess if you shot inside a city then a silencer would be beneficial. But I rarely use muffs when shooting .22s anyway unless it's a short barreled pistol. For the neighborhood benefit I can see. But silencers I've seen for 9mm, .40, and ...

+1 on what dickfunk says. I've never seen or even heard of someone modifying a semi or shoot single and imagining someone manually racking a slide after every shot is enough to make me chuckle. I've never heard of it and after hearing that I think it sounds ridiculous. I really hope people don't do ...

Wolff Springs Starting To Piss Me Off!
Would have been good advice had I heard it before I ordered the springs. I was going to order the hammer spring anyway so I thought if I was going to have to pay shipping on that little thing anyway then I may as well order the recoil spring too. I read on here that a lot of people had went with the...

Wolff Springs Starting To Piss Me Off!
It might depend on the size recoil spring you put on too. I don't know. But I could tell the 22 was a lot beefier just by looking at it compared to the stock one. Once I put it on, I could definitely tell a big difference. It was a little bit longer and quite a bit stiffer. Once I got the slide on, ...

Wolff Springs Starting To Piss Me Off!
doc, i suggested flattening the ends of the 22# spring when we first got them, I found I didn't have to. I simply push the slide on using the edge of a table or counter, doing this gives me just enough pressure get the slide to pop back over the rails. Well this is exactly what I did. I didn't even...

Wolff Springs Starting To Piss Me Off!
So I got in my recoil spring and my hammer spring for my P-64. I ordered the 22 lbs recoil spring. I know there were some people who had mentioned that there's wouldn't fit and had to do some modifications. Well apparently I'm going to be in that boat too, however, I don't know what I need to do to ...

Grips for P64 and a ? about makarov
I've heard that proper pronunciation of Makarov is muh-CAR-ov. Most people stress the first part such as MAK-ar-ov which is generally the way you'll hear it. But if you want to be phonetically correct, it's the second syllable that you stress.

Well I've done some research and it looks like ammunitiontogo seems to be the cheapest place. I think I'm going to place an order now.

P64 spring choice
I just made my spring purchase from Wolff. I went with the 22 lb recoil and the 19 lb hammer spring. Hopefully I won't have any trouble with the 22 lb recoil spring. I'll let everyone know when I get them install and get a chance to use them.
