Re: breech extractor wear
In my opinion, that's cosmetic and shouldn't effect performance. Somebody got something caught in there and it slammed shut, or they tried to pry open the action with a screwdriver after a stuck shell case? I dunno, looks bad but probably isn't. I hate to give gunsmithing advice on-line, but probabl...

Interchangeable P-64 & PM holster?
Anybody know a good IWB holster that fits both the P-64 and the PM (Makarov)? I want to be able to switch between the two firearms but only want one holster that does a good job carrying either.

Re: Makarov caliber conversion.
I can't imagine the 9x18 ever drying-up, it's well established now. My experience is that it's easier to find locally (and on-line) than the .380

Re: First Gun
The CZ is a great companion to the P-64. Very accurate and twice the capacity. The grips feel really nice if you have big hands. Still good deals on them out there, well worth the money. It could be used for CC but mainly in conjunction with a coat or loose clothing as it is quite a bit larger (thic...

Re: Awful grouping
Focus on the front sight (works for me) and don't pull to the right with your trigger finger, pull straight back. Get a snap cap and you can practice for hours in the comfort of your living room.

Good read on stopping power
Not trying to start an argument here, but thought I'd share this article on stopping power that allegedly studied actual shootings:

Executive summary: Those that carry the 9x18 for personal defense should be just fine in most cases.

Re: what made you pick up a P64? What do you like / dislike?
I wanted one to add to my modest collection of 9x18s: IJ-70, CZ82 & East German Mak. I'm sold on the caliber and the reliability of the pistols. Of them all, the P-64 gets carried the most, as it's the smallest. Just a cool little gun, and great weapon for the price.

Re: Bought a P-64. Best place to Buy Magazines?
I got mine from Keepshooting.com, looks fine but have not actually used it yet so I can't give you meaningful feedback. Shipping was very reasonable though, like $3 (I think) as they will ship USPS.

Some people find the newer (1972+) ones more desirable because of the trigger and hammer updates.

Best accessory for your P-64
1952 Mosin Nagant M-44, made in Poland at Radom (11), same as my P-64 (kicks almost as hard as the pistol ).
