Just a shot in the dark, but did you replace the hammer spring on it? Wondering if there's somehow too much tension on the spring. Also, this should probably be in the "Other 9X18s" section. May find more knowledgeable people there.

Re: Used my CZ 82 shoulder holster

I've been staring at those things for a while now. I really want one, but the shipping adds something like $10, so it's not quite as good a deal as I'd like.

Anyhow, how about some pictures? Maybe wearing it, maybe a close-up of your needlecraft?

Re: Handmade Ankle Holster

Very nice indeed. Looks like it's good and comfortable too.

When I first read the first post, I thought "What a silly man, he wants to carry two guns on one ankle!" Then I realized I am the silly man...

Re: Want to get started on making a holster

Just started carrying the holster inside the belt. It really adds a lot to the retention. I know I made some mistakes with the first one, including measuring it out too large. I want a higher carry, so I may do an Askins Avenger next time, unless there's another style I can make, or a modification t...

Re: Want to get started on making a holster

Thanks so much for the tips! I went ahead, using what I had available. I made a pancake holster and it was great. I bought a Harbor Freight special leatherworking toolset. That was dumb. I'll be investing in some better equipment before my next go. But, it does work, it is comfortable, and it concea...

Re: CZ-82 mag release sticking

Thanks for the tips juniustaylor. I have read through those instructions before, but I guess I didn't realize the mag release was such a simple part to get to. I'm still awaiting a reply from Widener's. I've been waiting for a day or two now, which is worrisome. I'm never a fan when customer service...

Re: Want to get started on making a holster

Just found this "primer" on holster-making: http://leatherworker.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=11869 Any opinions on the advice therein? EDIT - Oh, just another thought on the Askins Avenger style. Does it hold tight enough? Would it make more sense to put the tunnel on the outside, and th...

Re: CZ-82 mag release sticking

I'm having a problem with my magazine release on the left side - the one a right-handed person would use. It just doesn't want to work. The other side works pretty well though. Not sure if I should call Widener's (who I got it from), or just try to figure it out. I do have to ask the obvious questio...

Re: Want to get started on making a holster

Thanks for the replies, guys. I suppose I'll try to get started with a cheapy tool kit. In fact, I was thinking of drilling holes with a dremel, and just using some of the better knives I have on-hand currently to get started. Unless I'm mistaken, that takes the tool investment down to a couple need...

Want to get started on making a holster

I've done a lot of reading on this forum and lots of other websites. I've found tutorials for working the leather, including cutting and shaping. I do have a few questions, though, if someone could help point me in the right direction. I'll start by pointing out what I want and a brief why, and then...

Re: CZ-82 For $200 on Gun Broker, 1 Day Left

I sent that guy a message and sent him the link that Boris provided. Told him he may want to re-think his price a little bit. Obviously the gun didn't sell and he relisted it for the same price. It's obviously his gun so he can do whatever he wants to with it. He may send me hate mail back and he m...

Re: CZ-82 For $200 on Gun Broker, 1 Day Left

Since it's not yours, I won't feel bad for pointing out the better deal at Widener's. CZ-82 with holster, two magazines, cleaning rod, and lanyard. All for $199.99, with shipping included. Mine should be arriving tomorrow or Monday. Edit - May help to include link: http://www.wideners.com/itemdetail...

Re: What is the cost of getting started?

Thanks for the advice guys. I probably will just save my pennies (and my brass) until I can afford a decent setup. It makes sense to not suffer through inferior equipment when I can just bide my time and get something that'll really see some use.
