Taurus Judge
The largest caliber I've shot in one of those Derringers was .357. Actually it wasn't bad for recoil, and was more accurate than you'd expect. I can't remember the make ... maybe American Arms.

Taurus Judge
I think Taurus was marketing this as a car gun, certainly not a woods gun. Have you seen one? They're bigger than you'd expect. A .410 is going to make a black bear mad enough to eat you, and there are lots better, more ergonomic pistols that shoot .45 Colt. I jumped in here Space because I've had t...

What did you get for Christmas?
I'm looking more toward getting a shoulder holster for that USFA. I always laugh when I see John Wayne with that 6-gun on his hip. He had no hips actually; if he took 12 steps that holster would be down around his ankles. I'm built a bit similar. For carryin in the woods, etc., I think only a should...

Happiness is a new Bulgy ...
Norm, I don't know who can afford to buy .45 Colt ammunition, and so far I have about 350 cases de-primed and polished. And 1,200 bullets - 200 and 250-grain. It's my next loading. I have both Unique and Goex BP to try.

What did you get for Christmas?
I had a second pretty nice thing that must be Christmas related because it arrived on Christmas Eve. This year I purchased a new USFA Rodeo in .45 Colt. Some of you saw pictures of the real high-end USFA I also purchased this year; this one cost 1/3 as much and is more for blasting a lot of ammo inc...

Because of this: http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o14/nbender_photos/DSCN4655.jpg I got this: http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o14/nbender_photos/PistolRest0006.jpg I don't know why I never had a decent pistol rest with all the handgun ammo I've shot through chronographs. I've had friends watch ...

Another source for Hornady HP bullets that's a bit cheaper: http://www.northwestloading.com/catalog/....3bb3 5fa963d1a5 If that long-winded link doesn't work go to Northwestloading.com. Another source for 9x18 load data is from Makarov.com. This page has all kinds of useful info: http://makarov.com/...

GR,
You had me for a bit there. I finally figured out to go back a few weeeks to see what you were refering too.
I don't think of read of problems before with the Wolf Military Classic in 9x18, but your problem is noted.

Dumb question of the month
PsootR - Georgia Arms has switched between the Hornady XTP and the Gold Dot CCI (Speer) 90-grain as the bullets have become available. I understand that they want to mainly produce with the Speer but they have had problems getting CCI to supply so they have periodically made their 9x18 with Hornady ...
