Re: I decided NOT to change the springs and why.

You think that criminals don't target those laid back rural areas? Learn to trust your firearm and yourself and carry one in the chamber please! Also the element of surprise thing is over rated due to what I am going to post next... read it and realize where you are in the equation when you have to ...

Re: I decided NOT to change the springs and why.

A gun with an empty chamber is a paper weight.... just my opinion... Also most gunfights are over in 20 seconds... see how many it takes you to draw and rack...

Re: I you use a Hoque Jr Grip on your P64...

I got one of these, it works great for the P64 You can carry a CZ82 but it pulls down on the vest more... the bottom inside pockets (not meant to carry but do work) are big enough to carry a full sized pistol like a 1911 without printing if you carry it right. http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/...

Re: New Member, New P-64--Ammo Advice

I will not argue that S&B is good stuff! I use their hunting loads in my Mosen Nagant very accurate consistent stuff! Also like their new 7.62 x 38r loading it is loaded to the original spec so it is much hotter than the other offerings out there!

Re: New Member, New P-64--Ammo Advice

Cite it otherwise it is hearsay. I know I am a pain when it comes to this type of thing BUT I don't like second and third hand rumors! And yes Norm I know that plants that make different brands may use diff quality's of components. I personally have shot thousands of rounds of wolf out of 4 differen...

Re: New Member, New P-64--Ammo Advice

It is easy to tell the difference. The old stuff stated the grain count for the projectile right on the box. Wolf paid for a number of damaged guns and then switched exclusively to the Tula plant for all pistol cartridges BC of there better QC. Tula Ammunition Plant makes the Silver Bear ammo as wel...

Re: New Member, New P-64--Ammo Advice

Wolf is no longer made in the high grain loadings. It is all 95 grain now. Also Wolf is the importer and Tula ammunition plant makes the ammo. All of the Wolf 9x18 I have seen in the last three years has been 95 grain and no different to shoot than the Brown and silver bear. Just an FYI The specs fo...

Re: Idea to increase firing pin striking power

The transfer bar is designed such that it needs the grip in place to hold it in position. Or is the transfer bar bending with the grip in place?

Re: Accuracy Issues?

I find that Brown and silver bear is very accurate out of all my 9x18 guns... after my hand loads of course but they are tailored for accuracy! For carry I use Silver Bear FMJ as I have never had a squib or any other issue in over 2000 rounds of this stuff! As for the sight A hard plastic hammer wou...

Re: Accuracy Issues?

The first thing to do is try different ammunition. That may help with the grouping issues.

As for the shooting right IF the rear sight is off the centerline then it MIGHT be to blame.
