By the way, I read devlinfaust's old post that the Hornady ammo doesn't feed reliably in his p-64. I have never had a SINGLE failure to feed in mine with any hornady ammo--factory or handload. (A very big part of the reason I use it for carry.) It is interesting how individual pistols can differ.

Sorry I joined the discussion late here, but when I picked up my p-64 at the shop about a year ago, I found a Don Hume leather IWB holster (H715 M No. 13) for about twenty bucks. It fits the p-64 like it was made for it, and makes a very compact, comfortable package.

By the way, Abwehr, is the mainspring housing you are talking about on the bottom rear of the grip? If so, the RIA I just received has an arched housing. (If so, maybe that's why I thought it felt "right.") Perhaps they have changed this since you got yours. Then again, I may have my parts...
