Penn & Teller - episode on Gun control

Space, thanks for the Penn & Teller episode,
I was at choir practice and missed it. ;D
Yup. Me, too!

I had heard about the Penn & Teller set, but I hadn't seen it before.

Thanks.

I now understand why 1911 fans are so devoted... Oh, there is much more! When you are done playing with your new 1911, and trying various kinds of ammo and such, take your gun to a reliable smith for a trigger job. The trigger on a 1911 can be set to break at 4 pounds or less (I don't recommend &qu...

How do you clean your P64

For years I have used brake cleaner to clean and degrease my guns. the metel surface is very clean so re-lubing is vital. Stuff dries quickly. I have been advised by tru experts not to routinely dissamble an auto for cleaning. I have used brake cleaner in the past. Currently, I'm experimenting with...

HAND LOADING 9x18 MAK ROUND

kempin No I didn't I wanted to use the PA-63 because of it's longer barrel and lightness and to what people say about its feeding problems . With regard to the PA-63's feeding problems, mine had a very rough feed ramp. I took a dremel tool and buffed it a bit -- not to remove any metal, but to poli...

PA-63???

I have both the PA63 and the P64. If you put them side by side, there is no comparisom. The P64 has it all over the 63 in fit, finish and overall quality. To be fair, though, the PA-63 is still a snappy looking little gun. I kind of like its two-tone, black over aluminum appearance. Further, while ...

I'm a current Kimber owner and love it, next will be a RI followed by another Kimber (Ultra Carry) and saving my pennies and hinting a whole lot to the boss (wife) about a Wilson Combat. I, too, am a happy Kimber owner. I have a Pro Carry CDP with which I am delighted. However, recently I've been h...

Camo Grips

However, I haven't found any way to deaden the recoil, other than wearing gloves. I was wondering if these excellent looking grips were made of rubber or polymer or what not and if they help with the recoil of this otherwise excellent weapon? The terrible, box stock, DA pull can be dealt with quick...

I also did acouple of other thing to mine for a personal taste. I changed the grip panels out to the GI plastic, and the rear grip piece to the "arched" 1911A1 style rather than the 1911 "Flat" type. As I said, this was just personal to make it look exactly like a 1911A1. I boug...

Okay, I came in late. Where did you get a chrome P-64?

Or, if you had it done, where did you have it done...?

It's a very attractive firearm.

Hey, is that legal to carry open like that? I understood that's how it was in AZ--carry anything, as long as it's in the open and otherwise legal...Can't do that here, with a couple of ill-defined exceptions that I don't want to test... ;) Ohio has open carry -- as long as you don't try to do it! ;...

What Ammo feeds / doesn't feed in your P64

I've used 100 grain Wolf and 115 grain Silver Bear in reasonable quantities -- easily several hundred rounds total. I've not had any problems at all. I've had no trouble feeding, or ejecting, and not even all that much trouble with recoil (I just fuss about it a lot...). I've also experimented a bit...

Well, you can always do what I did, get two and convert one to 9mm for the wide selection of ammo. Keep the original Tok-chambered one for noise making at the range. Hollow point ammo is few and far between (and expensive) It's a little large for CCW anyway, IMHO. I considered the 9mm conversion. I...

Well, tell me guys--does it have much knockdown, or not? I've heard it both ways...saw one at a gunshop here once for about $150, I was impressed by what might most tactfully be called its "rugged good looks"--LOL! But it looked like one of those plain-but-reliable things that take my fan...
