Interesting. That won't actually "crimp", but it will size the finished round.
I guess it would work.

Lee 9mm Makarov factory crimp die?

I like to use the Lee Factory Crimp Die on my reloads. I haven't been
able to find one for 9mm Makarov. Will the 9mm Luger one work?

Got my P64!

I got to pick up my P64. Got it from SOG. I like it! It is a 1969. It is in decent shape. A few small scratches here and there, which is no big deal to me. I field stripped, cleaned, and oiled it. I promptly lost the grip screw nut which I found after searching my living room floor on my hands and k...

Re: New Rock Island Armory MS 45 ACP

smbob, Thanks for the heads up on the two sites you posted about. I have been to both sites, and they do have the best prices I have found for NIB RIA's, however, I mentioned above I was looking for a good deal, I guess I should have mentioned both of mine were bought used, LNIB, the 4" model ...

Re: New Rock Island Armory MS 45 ACP

Norm, Love those grips, Gun Guys right, I have a couple of the same grips on some of my 1911's. BTW I still looking for a decent deal on a RIA compact, the one's I have seen lately are by Citidel. Papa, Centerfire Systems and Bellshire Hardware on Gunbroker have the lowest prices on RIA's that I ha...

Thanks fellas. I really like this MS. I'm going to put some better sights
on it soon. RIA makes some nice 1911's. You can't beat them for the $.

New Rock Island Armory MS 45 ACP

I recently picked up a Rock Island Armory MS 4" 45 ACP. I have always wanted a Colt Commander, but could never afford one. Although this Philippine made 1911 is anything but a Colt in many people's minds it is close enough for me. The quality of the pistol is real good. I'm really impressed wit...

Re: Disappointed in local gun show

I quit going to gun shows near me. $10 to park $12 to get in. I'm already down $22 and I just walked through the door! I'm steaming mad already! I get inside and all I see is old crappy rusty ammo cans. Overpriced beef jerky. Everything, and I mean everything, associated with firearms was way way wa...

Re: A few milsurp pics

Papabear, I'm green with envy! I really miss my Star PD. Those BM's are awesome too! DFunk, Thanks for the kind words. My 24/47 scout setup shoots under 1" at 100 yards all day long with M75 Yugo Sniper 8mm ammo. The POSP 24/47 is fun to shoot too. It isn't a paper punching scope. The...

Re: A few milsurp pics

Thanks for the kind words Papabear! That's a beautiful Llama! I really have a thing for Spanish pistols. If I lived in a state where I could buy any one of them that I wanted instead of C&R only, ie 50+ years old, I would get every one that I could get my hands on. Star & Llama. Robert

Re: New Member, New P-64--Ammo Advice

Guys, I really appreciate the input, links, etc.! Although Wolf may or may not be perfectly fine, based on what I'm reading here there appears to be enough of a controversy about it that I think I'm going to feel more comfortable with Silver Bear and/or S&B. Both are reasonably priced @ $11 to ...

Re: Mosin Nagant collecting

Mosins are cool! Very addicting too. I don't do well with iron sights, so I use a S&K scout mount with a Simmons 4X32mm Pro Hunter pistol scope. It will hold right around 1" 5 shot groups at 100 yards from the bench with 203gr Silver Bear SP ammo. Robert http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/f...
