Re: Another Chronograph Session
IIRC, a box of Winchester Metric 7.62x54R that I had said that it was made in the Czech Republic. Some folks even reported seeing S&B marked headstamps in boxes of Winchester Metric.

Re: Magazine without finger extension?
I have removed the finger rest on one of my magazines. I do carry this one when I use the P64 as my CCW. The pointed part of the finger rest can/does make it somewhat obvious that I may have it under my shirt. So, I sacrificed one magazine and removed it and it looks much better under a shirt now. I...

Re: Can anyone explain the heavy DA trigger?
I wonder if some of it is just due to a poor engineering in the angle of the components and not allowing for maximum leverage of the trigger/trigger bar.

Re: be careful where you hang your targets!
While I don't recall breaking a barb wire fence, I have overshot a target with a recurve bow and managed to do this. https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/40726_488970204552_2007689_n.jpg I thought my arrow was a gonner forever, I was looking all in the grass and finally decided I was going to...

Re: Holsters that go above the gun
It keeps sweat from getting on the exposed portion of the slide. The most important reason is it keeps sharp edges (ie exposed hammer) from gouging into the sensitive skin on your side. Hope that answers the question.

Here is one of Norm Suttons pictures.
Take the slide stop out (WATCH THAT SPRING) and then look to make sure the spring is under the lug of the trigger bar as shown in this picture.

Re: Please help! Trigger not re-setting
I'm glad my videos were of help you you. Is the trigger return spring installed correctly? The upper leg of the spring should rest under a lug on the trigger bar inside the frame. This is what forces the trigger bar to make contact with the sear/hammer stuff so long as the disconnector is not forcin...

Re: How to choose hammer spring strength?
Some folks reported the issue of the magazine dropping out of the pistol when it was empty because the hammer spring is the same thing that puts force on the magazine catch. However, I kind of wonder if they didn't have the strut washer on the hammer strut, so the already light spring wasn't physica...

Re: extra rounds magazines?
I absolutely agree with Weasel. It has been done, but as he said with crappy success. Some folks modified the follower so it would compress in more and fit another round. 1 more round isn't worth making the gun unreliable as Weasel also stated. If you could make a whole new design and just make it h...
