Re: CZ-52 Range Report
I already know about the firing pin. In fact I broke one on purpose to see how easy it was. Very. When the tip broke it flew 3.5 feet and bounced off the wall. And no, I don't usually do that sort of thing. I have an upgraded pin in there now. It also has the hardened rollers and a brand new barrel....

Re: CZ-52 Range Report
I've been playing with the CZ and may keep it. I don't think it has trigger slap and that I just need to watch where I place my trigger finger.

Re: Trip to the range today
36 feet ? I'd say you are asking too much of the Keltec. It's meant to be an up close shoot and scoot gun.

Re: Plasti-dip grips
I saw someone who used epoxy to add a beaver tail to their gun grip then sprayed it with the same coating.

Re: SKS has problem firing
I had an SKS years ago. The firing pin has no provisions for adjustment. All I knew was to NOT install it backwards unless a magazine emptying full auto slamfire was your idea of fun. What ammo are you shooting? That may be the problem. I was shooting surplus in my CZ-52 and had approx. 4 failure to...

Re: FMJ vs JHP
The ideal is a bullet that penetrates deeply enough to hit vitals, expands enough to maximize stopping power, and doesn't zip thru and drill someone nearby minding their own business. We understand that there is no magic weapon that will stop someone 100% of the time. People are just trying to make ...

Re: CZ-52 Range Report
I plan to. First I'll be selling a few guns I no longer shoot. Really, I have to by one. I have too much 7.62x25 ammo not to.

I'm thinking the perfect set of grips would be Hogue overmolded ones but shaped just like the ones I got from Dennis.

Re: FMJ vs JHP
From what I've being seeing with my research, the ones that expand well generally don't tend to penetrate well and vise versa. The goal is penetration and expansion. The problem is, that if it doesn't expand it makes a liiiittle hole when you want a bigger one. On top of that, overpenetration can ac...

That looks great.
Tell us more. How did you apply the finish? Did you air cure it? How does it stand up to gun cleaning solvents? Oh, and what epoxy paints were used?
