Sights???
Since a SD situation has a million or two possible variations and subsets of variations, then your response has a million or two possible variations as well. I doubt if you would actually use sights in that kind of a situation, but it is possible, so painting them sure won't hurt.

That is an interesting idea - can you by any chance provide a photo or two to go along with your description?

Handguns in a Stress Situation
When adrenaline kicks in thinking generally kicks out and reaction sets in. I remember seeing a video of two guys in a protracted shoot out - one would charge the other shooting wildly - sometimes into the ground right in front of his own feet, then run out of bullets and run back behind cover - the...

Any familiar with Thunderwear?
I have one of the Smart Carry's - it is comfortable in just about any position once you get used to it. But it still takes two hands to get the gun out, and the actions required to extract the gun are not exactly subtle. Kind of looks like you are pulling your pants out with one hand so that you can...

9mm mak stopping power vs 38 special?
One small point that really doesn't mean much: A revolver doesn't generate more velocity with a longer barrel the way a rifle does. A rifle has a sealed compression chamber behind the bullet and the hot gasses continue to expand, and thus continue to push the bullet as the bullet is travelling down ...

OFF TOPIC QUESTION Llama 9mm?
OK, I am convinced. I am going tomorrow and if it is still there I am going to get it. Average selling price on gunbroker seems to be about $100 more than that.
Thanks Again!

OFF TOPIC QUESTION Llama 9mm?
Thanks! I am thinking that I will get it - $175 is low enough to gamble on it being a decent shooter.
There is a dearth of information on the llama on the internet.

P-64 Gun Show Pricing
CZ 52s, Star BMs and P64s - All seem to have jumped an average of $50 across the board recently.

OFF TOPIC QUESTION Llama 9mm?
I have an opptortunity to purchase a llama 9mm for $175 - and I know nothing about these pistols. It is in Fair to Good Condition - It seems to be built very much like a US Army 45 - It even has the grip safety. Does anyone know these pistols? Is that an average, or good or great price? Are these go...

Reason for CCW
I am a Fortress American crossed with a Libertarian. When it comes to guns I believe that there should be no laws at all. Like kitchen knives don't need or have laws regulating them.

P-64 Pocket Holster
Yes, I fastened the two pieces of leather together with rivets, and I used an epoxy glue between the two pieces where it came together. I also rubbed the epoxy into the cut edges of the leather. If I was to make another one I would not use the epoxy - it is unnecssary and messy. The reason the leath...

P-64 Pocket Holster
The holster is leather, and I purchased a piece of leather that was smooth on one side and rough on the other - It is the natural rough texture on the outside so it grabs the pocket better and doesn't try to come out with the pistol.

How do you carry?
I don't recall the brand right now, I shot several and they all worked fine - but I do use a fmj type of bullet - no hollow points or the old ball in a hollow point - I think for this low velocity type of round that simpler is better. My idea of using it, if forced to, would be to empty the magazine...

How do you carry?
Himmel: I have thought about grinding down that lip, but haven't done it yet. I might now though - How do you like it? I picked up the TP 25 at a gun show for about $100 - it has proven itself reliable. I think it may have been a pretty direct copy of the beretta - it is an erma werke marked model. ...
