Grips & Magazines

I have a hogue grip on my HK USP but that's my "work gun" I think putting a rubber grip on this gun ruins it. makes it too "grabby" and spoils the "hide"factor by grabbing your pant leg, shirt tail, etc...

YMMV

Anyone tried the recoil spring fix?

On the P7 spring, is there a way to cut it in the middle and bind the middle coils without soldering or rubbing on the frame?

Like maybe small metal tube holding them together then crimped?

Anyone tried the recoil spring fix?

mongo, I am definetly not a gunsmith, but I would be careful with the Walther recoil spring. Most of these pistols are for the .32 auto or the .380. These are weaker rounds than the 9mm Mak, so the weaker springs may cause problems with "beating" the pistol to much and possibly cause a fr...

When I took the slide off of my P64

you gonna hate this but completely disassemble that slide the firing pin, extractor spring well and safety spring well are full of that crap. I used SafetyKleen and just put everything in a small mesh basket.

I may even file it down a little. Also I would love to get rid of the thumbrest also. The grips don't match they added the thumbshelf to pass BATF. look at your grips they aren...
