Off Topic ( SKS)

For you SKS guys, my FFL guy has two versions of the Norinco, new in box, for $225 out the door. Difference is the flat or spike bayonnet. Don't know if there is a milled or stamped difference. He has the Yugo 59/66 much cheaper, but don't care for the extra hardware.

Thoughts please?

OT: Happy Holidays

This is a special time of year, and hope that you and yours enjoy it. As I look back, I do really appreciate how this board has pretty much stayed on course, and shared things about the P-64 that have helped others. After reading a lot of stuff over the years about the celebrated 1911 45 Auto, I am ...

Would you like this? Rifles

I must add that P-64 interest is growing, not waning, as more and more people are discovering the Czak. Have also noticed that talk about our pistol is turning positive on the Makarov board, and more folks are being sent over here. Also keep in mind that the supply has not dried up as expected, and ...

For what it's worth, Glock Talk solved this by creating a section called Non-Glock Firearms, which leaves it open to ANY firearm. Satisfies both rifle and handgun, and keeps it pretty simple, IMO.

Replacement Grips I make

Thanks Zee,

Your unique skill has made a big difference for the guys on this board, who either suffered from the thumbrest grips, or have just wanted to experience your super quality, artistic and original products at a very modest price.

Pleas return when the time is right,

Krasniewski. Don't know if you're serious or a spammer, but messing with the original mags was only done by one guy here, and that was to try to accomodate the WORST loads for this pistol(109-115 grain). It was made for the 90-95 gr. Cartridge length is too long with most of the poorly manufactued h...

Harry, just call them ASAP and ask for a return authorization, referencing the email you sent.

Bet you can get a better one, or a refund.

NEW P-64 Magazines - Available Now!

Papabear, I started to quote the same paragraph earlier today, but my computer skills are limited. This outfit feeding lies to this board reinforces my several BUYER BEWARE notices. Nobody I know of has had an original mag failure, and almost all originals being sold are unused mags. I appreciate yo...

NEW P-64 Magazines - Available Now!

Brian, we need a better price, much better, for an after market mag that may not work.

SOG price for unused originals is $9.95 compared to your $19.95.

What gives?

PA-63 SPRING IN P-64

Norm, looks like by cutting off the extra length of the similar diameter PA-63 spring, you would negate any advantage of the swap. We just need a longer barrel. Think I heard that somewhere before. LOL.
JMHO,

Punishing recoil?

That's about it, since I have never heard of one that didn't function properly. Just test trigger with safety on and off. SA triggers are all great, but you might compare those. The SA pull will reduce slightly(1/4 to 1/2#) with the 17# spring, so depends how light you want it in the end. Most come ...

Punishing recoil?

Setzer, most prefer the original flat grips to the makeshift add-on left thumbrest, and you may have a choice of hammers(rounded on older models), depending on the model years he gets. Safety levers may vary in stiffness, but loosen with use, or can be smoothed. Finish does vary, even though they ar...

Abwehr.

Haven't looked inside the front end of the slide, but your comments reinforced the thought that there may be a reason for the larger diameter of the spring at the muzzle end.

Probably worth asking the spring maker. JMHO.

Saands, I wonder if the tapering of the current spring from muzzle to the back should be a consideration. Properly installed, the back end is definitely tighter, and some folks have had problems when they swapped ends. In your post above this one, did you mean bigger than .510 instead of the .501? S...

Saands, I posted two .503's and a .504 on the other thread.
