Any markings inside your P64 Holsters?

Bartosz & Herrmannek - I will continue on this thread since you both began your posts here. Wow, lots of good info for us directly from friends in Poland. I have some general questions since Poland has joined NATO. Are your armed forces moving to the MAG-95 (9mm compatible with NATO) and what is...

Any markings inside your P64 Holsters?

Another welcome, Balrtosz, you have sent the forum very useful information with your first two posts - hope this is just the beginning! Although your English is great, all our members want you to practice your language skills by telling us MORE about the P-64 (smile). Your cutaway figure of "Pi...

Found this on Ebay.

This was a new twist to the usual clip added to the slide, e.g., like for the Glock. Being left handed, I asked the seller, a police officer with 26 yrs of experience, about availability. Sorry, LHers, it's for righties only at this time. It would be interesting to have a report about the P-64 weari...

What's a 10 pound spring?

Have you ever wondered what spring calculation the Polish army officers used to design a pistol with a double action trigger pull of 120 newtons? Now those folks really needed some help! You gotta laugh!

Any markings inside your P64 Holsters?

Thanks, abwehr, for the search suggestion. I don't know what has come from Poland in the way of holsters in the past year (or what will be available later), but the P-64 pistol has served for 20 years in both military and civilian roles. We should open the door for any information that will allow us...

Any markings inside your P64 Holsters?

I just rec'd an unissued black holster (nice workmanship) from our Ebay friend in Poland and checked it for any info on the inside. I found 3 stampings: one, a circle containing the letters KT with the number 739 below the lettering; the second, right next to the circle stamping was a larger square ...

Safety dropping on while shooting

I went to the range with my 1975 P-64 for the first time today. I shot the first 6 rounds single action (~3-4 lbs pull) at 7 yds within 2-1/4", 1-1/2" if you drop one; it is accurate and it cycled well with S&B 95 gr FMJ. After shooting 1/2 box I moved to Wolff steel 100 gr FMJ (trunca...

Has anyone seen this Norinco copy?

Ramptester, I guess the Chinese were not just depending on the Russians for their smaller pistols. I wasn't aware of the 7.62x17 and apparently these rounds are hard to find, about 3-4 euros apiece! I have wondered why the Chinese did not have a PSM equivalent and maybe the silenced Norinco 64 serve...

JHP Ammo & Glasers

Other 9x18 shooters have also mentioned difficulties in getting certain ammo. May I suggest you do a search on the Makarov Forum for a 10-24-05 posting by VonAlt in which he lists 29 different brands by the following: Manufacturer, Part#, Vendor, Type, Cost, Cost/Rd, status (in-stock?). You can impo...

A REAL POLISH MAKAROV!

Here is an opportunity to share some humorous bantering about the Polish Maks that really aren't. Yes, they have an 8 round mag if you fill it completely and then lay one round on the follower. Yes, they are genuine Polish Maks because my cousin Vinny carried them across Poland in his trunk on his w...

A REAL POLISH MAKAROV!

Strange that the vendor does not show a picture of the "Polish symbols or ID" on the slide for our authentication; gentlemen, we need proof! Maybe the border guards exchanged pistols on holidays? Are we having fun yet?

A day at the range . . .

A statistical correction for my last entry on this thread: I thought I proofed my calculations, but the mean difference of Brown Bear between the Mak and P64 was 21 f/s not 11 f/s. Sorry, Brown Bear. With this correction, this brand has the same statistics as given for Silver Bear, i.e., p>0.05, but...

A day at the range . . .

Some statistical feedback on the range data given by BankerBilly to start this thread - Since I didn't have the raw data, I went to the "sticky" on the Mak forum that gives info on 38 different commerical loads shot by with a Bulgarian Mak. Since I had BankerBilly's extreme spread (ES) for...

Holser options

If you have been/are a Mak collector, you noticed that some of the EG Mak shoulder holsters were too small and a "fit" was suggested by soaking the holster in hot water and stretching it using a Saran-wrapped Mak. Well, if you didn't "Mak-a-size" this Walther sized holster, then ...

What year are you shooting?

Also a big thanks to abwehr - just ordered a holster too, but the ebay site did not say anything about getting a mag & tool also - hope that's indeed a bonus when it arrives from Poland. Maybe a parts listing will be opening soon for all of us?
