Re: P-64 squib reported on TFB.com
Yeah, all I was saying that it would make for an interesting experiment. Does the primer have enough power to drive the bullet out the barrel? (like a .22 Kolibri does) If not, immediately remove the slide and tap the bullet out with a wooden dowel. No harm done. That might verify if a squib is poss...

Re: P-64 squib reported on TFB.com
Somebody here should try pulling a bullet, dumping the powder and seeing if just the primer is enough to get a the bullet that far. I'm suspicious.

P-64 squib reported on TFB.com
Hornady critical defense ammo (of course it might not be the fault of the ammo).

Re: Carrying my p64 more than I expected
Safety "on" and one in the pipe as well. Stock springs. Have to practice a lot, safety is backwards from what I'm used to (Maks). Have to thumb the hammer, no way I'm shooting DA with any amount of accuracy. I guess it depends on how close/imminent the threat is.

Re: Nuts! Launched My Firing Pin/Spring Into Outer Space!
Congrats on finding the flying parts. I know how frustrating that can be. Seems like every AR build I lose something. I wouldn't take the dremel to it, try polishing first by hand with 160 (or greater) grit emory cloth rolled up into a point. Also try some lube. Dremel could take off too much too fa...

Re: P64 or makarov
I've got a couple of copies of both (and a Cz82). I'd say seize the moment and get the P64, as they likely will never be less expensive and more available. Just over $200 from Aimsurplus and others. Quite a bargain if you ask me. You'll have a more difficult time finding a Mak, although not impossib...

-Chinese T53 Moisin Nagant, in Archangel stock. Ok, this is my first time being around the 7.62 x 54r cartridge being ignited. Good Lord! The flash and shock of that round! Packs a whallop, doesn't she? Function was flawless. Don't they make a pistol(s) in that caliber? That must be a party to fire...

Yeah, here's my review: http://www.p64resource.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5389&hilit=outbags#p49933 Since then it's starting to show a few frayed threads I need to trim, but otherwise it's holding up remarkably well. Very happy with it. Oops, for some reason the pictures weren't loading ...

Re: P-64 Breach Block Deformation
Mine was that way when I got it, causing a few FTE/FTFs. Filed the burr off and it's been working great. Put 400+ rounds through it since without any trouble.
