Re: Ouch

I'll join the chorus. Polish Iron grips and a Wolff Spring calibration pack will cure what ails you.

Re: Double action mode, Polishiron grip issues

It's a "remove and replace" slip on grip. Dead easy to do.

Re: Another da trigger question

I went with the Wolff Recoil Calibration Pak for the P64 - contains 1 each of 18, 20 and 22 Lb recoil springs listed above. This pack allows you to adjust the recoil function to your liking. I finally settled on a 20# recoil spring.

Re: Another question on the double action trigger and recoil

I bought the recoil spring set from Wolff, and finally settled on the 20# spring. The set allows you to experiment to see which spring suits you best, and it isn't that expensive.

I'll let others comment on the hammer spring question, as I haven't touched mine.

Re: New 1968 P64 range report

I hear you, darthnul. Now that I've started reloading I'm amazed at where my spent brass winds up. Forward, left, right, and over the shoulder. I still love my P64 regardless of that.

Be careful tuning the main spring - it does affect the SA trigger pull. Check other threads for others' experiences.

Re: Just got a 1968 P64 yesterday

Welcome to the forum. I don't know about the Marschal grips, but I have Polishiron grips; which I like. A link to some of the grip styles available from Marschal: http://www.marschalgrips.com/hires-p64/P64.HTM#p64short Warning - they make them to order and take three months or so for delivery. I've...

9x18 Ultra is very hard to find. I was surprised when I came across a source on the Internet last year. And no, I don't remember where. I was using AmmoSeek at the time.

Yup, they're busy. Firearm sales set yet another record, and the FBI said they wouldn't be able to support the Left's new Mandatory background check bill.

Look into the Polish Iron grips. They improve handling 500%, and will help with slide bite too.
