I was bored, so I was looking thru the pages from the infancy days of this site...I thought this was a cool poll, so I did the necro-post thing and resurrected it from 2006!!
I marked "combination" in the poll, because a) it's my primary, b) it's the house gun, c) the camping gun

Yet ANITHER safety issue/question
Wow, that is some nice work. I should have something like that done. I don't care for the shiny, tho. Have to go with the black chrome, like Ford's in Florida used to do. Just my personal preference.
Thanks for sharing, Mr Norm.

Yet ANITHER safety issue/question
I worked on it some more today. First I put the original recoil spring back in, and as expected that did nothing for the problem. Then I worked on those wear marks on the slide. First is another "before" photo... http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u59/bison7704/beforeclose.jpg And then thi...

Ok, I have played with it some more. Haven't got to the spring yet, because I noticed something else. I left the right side grip off, loaded a round, and then rotated the safety on and off. The disconnector stays down. The tab on the disconnector was even with the outside edge of the trigger bar. Pu...

Is the only way to look at the trigger return spring to remove the slide stop bar, part #22, as shown on page 12 of the disassembly guide?

Yet ANITHER safety issue/question
Sir: Thanks for the advice. I only recently purchased the dry lube moly, for a different pistol, and thought I would try it on my P64. I normally use RemOil with Teflon, and Hoppe's Gun Oil for all my pistols. I did as you advised, put the safety on then cycled the action, and it acts the same way, ...

OWNING a silencer has never ever been illegal. Only thing it takes is permission from the state you live in, and a $200 tax stamp paid to the BATFE. Yes, you can make your own, but you better have that tax stamp form paid and signed BEFORE you even start. Find out if your state allows you to have on...

I shoot Super Colibris out of my Savage Cub T single shot. It is a hoot n a half. Yes, they are really quiet, too, but not out of revolvers.

I'd be interested in a $200 unit. Also, I'd like to know if the 'bolt lock' is for sound suppression or actually for accuracy. I still would like to see where the slide let's out enough gas at once for any report to leak out. I guess I'm not getting it (which is very likely ;) ) Gemtech Outback II,...

"Silencers" aka "moderators" aka "mufflers" aka "can" are all the same thing, a suppressor to lessen the sound from the muzzle of a gun. The debate over wheelguns v semis being silenced rages on. The cylinder gap on a revolver lets noise escape, and so does th...
