Finally Got The Wife to Go On a Range Trip With Me

Patience indeed. The first time my sister-in-law held a rifle, was right after her wedding, when my brother was cleaning some things up from his room and handed her his old falling-block .22 with a simple "Here, hold this for a moment." Oh, the look of shock on her face at the time... ;D I...

How many Utes we got out there?

primarchbentaly, Whats the story with the Utah concealed carry exam? People in this area are saying if you take and pass the test that your license is good in a large number of states, any truth to the rumor? Thanks in advance. G.R. Utah and Florida enjoy the highest rate of recognition/reciprocity...

joined the P83 crowd

BTW: I have no idea if that will make them work in a P-83, I only know what the tab does on a Mak. It operates the slide stop on the last round and cuts fingers when loading magazines. -which would stand to bet that the tab on the P83 is for the same function. Tabless Mak magazine in P83 = no slide...

How many Utes we got out there?

I've got a nephew out in Midvale that is looking to get into ccw and pistols and was curious if we had any members that might take him under there wing so to speak. I'm back in MI and trying to get him on the right track. Thanks!! I'm currently located in Murray (next door to Midvale). We have a he...

How do you carry your CZ-82?

2. Magazine in. Safety off. Round in the chamber. DA trigger pull or manually cock the hammer to shoot. That's what I carry when I take my 82 for a stroll. If there were multiple safety systems I might go for Condition 1 (cocked and locked), but the safety lever on the 82 is a bit too easy to flip ...

Polish P-83 Wanad at J&G Sales

Haven't ordered from J&G 'til now, what's their usual turn around time between 'order put in' and 'order shipping'?

Vis acquired

Pics when I get home and clean her up a bit. I keep glancing out my office window to my car, where she's currently waiting. She may be a Grade III and a little rough around the edges, but she's mine. Fits my hand like a glove and points like a dream... Any other Vis owners here? Anyone have recommen...

Are Beretta 92 mags interchangeable with Taurus

loading 6+1

I'll chamber from the magazine and top the magazine off. Just remember to test this out with your P-64, and with the ammo you plan to carry. Some people recommend against 6+1 due to FTFs, so 6+1 might not work in all P-64s and/or with all ammo brands. Myself, my '75 feeds 6+1 with Sellier and Bellot...

P64 "Bites" my Thumb!

Recoil spring strength is usually a personal preference, but it seems many people here like to upgrade to at least the 20lb. If that would be enough to make a difference to YOU is the question. Still, taming the recoil a bit might help with keeping a constant grip. And a recoil spring replacement is...

P64 "Bites" my Thumb!

It's a matter of how you grip it (like a swallow with a coconut, if you will). I noticed that when I fired my P64 with the 'plastic thumb rest' version of the left side grip, my hand would tend to drift upwards if I wasn't paying attention, and I was more likely to get 'slide bite'. Once I replaced ...

Took the family

-to the range this morning, and thought I'd get a group shot at home beforehand: http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t163/Rehnna/CZ-family.jpg Going to work smelling of gunpowder is always nice... 8-) I like the changes Dennis' grips make for handling the CZ-52, and a new recoil spring and Harrington...
