Re: Put This In Ammo But Thought It Interesting In General W
It was just a thought. If it was me it would drive me nuts why Silver Bear won't feed but WPA will. Like you said basically the same round. But then again, that may be a rather short trip according to some.

Check the feed lips on the mags. Maybe they are not angled correctly or pinched a bit causing too much friction?

I apologize to anyone who may feel that I have belittled their intelligence or made them to feel improper in any way for having made a decision they feel is well considered and thought out. However I reserve the right to voice my opinion about a subject that has been put out into this public forum f...

Re: P-64 and pocket carry
And I respect your decision to carry as you see fit. But for me pocket carry with or without a holstrr is a non starter. And the issue with getting the safety off after the draw, well it is surmised that the engineers designed this gun with such a heavy DA pull as a "safety device" on purp...

Re: P-64 and pocket carry
Sorry to disagree but I think I worry just enough. One of my previous professions was armed courier and the amount of times my sidearm snagged on doorframes alone was staggering. (Getting into and out of the vehicle sometimes was almost comical). And some of the things it GOT snagged on let alone HO...

Re: WWII Rifles
Papa,
Best info I can find say's 206grain rou d at 2,300 fps at the muzzle. Yeah. That would be about the same as firing 203grain soft point 7.62x54r at a listed 2306fps out of my MN M-38. Ouch. But a hell of a lit of fun. And the fireball is !

Re: P-64 and pocket carry
Other solution is to NOT carry in the pocket. To me that is a dangerous place to carry safety on or off, condition 1, 2or 3 as people tend to put a gun in their pocket ALONG WITH other items which creates, in my suspicious little mind anyway, all kinds of ways for triggers to get caught, hammers to ...

Re: Put This In Ammo But Thought It Interesting In General W
That is wierd. I am not sure the Silver Bear has a laquer coat over the zinc as the case is zinc coated to make for smoother feeding. I have no answer as to why this would be. How old is the Silver Bear? Has the zinc corroded any as that would cause the case surface to be rougher which might cause F...

Re: WWII Rifles
You deserve the comments. You have worked hard to build that collection and you obviously have an eye for good pieces. What is the grain weight on the 8x57 round? And FPS at the muzzle if you know.

Re: WWII Rifles
Nice M-95 pappa. Ya don't see those often. And I bad heard that about the M-95 kicking like a pissed off moose. If it is worse than the MN M-44/ M-38, of which I have 2, I can just imagine how ones shoulder would feel after a battle. The sqaure edges on the M-38's buttplate are murder. And damned ni...

Re: WWII Rifles
Before someone accuses me of ignorance, the Finns and Swede's used variations or modified versions of weapons Pappabear had already shown us and technically the Swiss never fought in WWII and I am unaware of any other country using the Rubin. So pretty much he had already shown us the basic combatan...
