I have those grips on mine and I carry my P-64 in a small pocket holster in my pocket and not IWB. I have no rust on mine. You might try a product called Eezox. I works great on my guns. just google it. I bought mine on ebay but MidwayUSA has it also.

Just invest $10 on a rubber grip sleeve and you should be good to go. I use a Hogue Handall Jr and I know others are available. They really make a felt difference.

I may be just me but I am just using the stock recoil spring that came in my CZ-82 and my P-64 and I personally thought the P-64 had a better recoil than the CZ-82. I really like using Bullseye in my 9mm and my Makarov loads. I also like Acurate #5. I got my load data form here.
