I decided NOT to change the springs and why.
After putting 50 rounds down range I have decided not the change out the springs in my P-64. I also have Feg PA-63 that is all stock on the springs as well. I say to Noobs to go out and shoot the pistol first before ordering any springs. I found the recoil was manageable. The DA pull is a bear and t...

Re: I you use a Hoque Jr Grip on your P64...
I don't use a Hogue Jr grip, but I understand why some might, if rust is a issue because of sweat or moisture of any kind getting under your grips I suggest using EEZOX on your guns, its the best rust preventer I have found. http://www.warrencustomoutdoor.com/pl-gun-4ozc.html In case you hadn't not...

I have those grips on mine and I carry my P-64 in a small pocket holster in my pocket and not IWB. I have no rust on mine. You might try a product called Eezox. I works great on my guns. just google it. I bought mine on ebay but MidwayUSA has it also.

Re: First time shooting my new P64
I too just shot mine for the first time this week and was going to get a new recoil and main spring but after shooting it I decided to keep the stock recoil spring and maybe get the #19 hammer or main spring. I have a hogue rubber slip on grip that takes up a lot of the vibration from the recoil. I ...

Re: P-64 vs cz82 recoil
Just invest $10 on a rubber grip sleeve and you should be good to go. I use a Hogue Handall Jr and I know others are available. They really make a felt difference.

Re: P-64 vs cz82 recoil
I may be just me but I am just using the stock recoil spring that came in my CZ-82 and my P-64 and I personally thought the P-64 had a better recoil than the CZ-82. I have a Hogue rubber Handall slip on grip on each gun and they help take up some of the felt recoil. Even with the slip on grip the CZ...

Re: Quick introduction and my new P64
I too would like to welcome you here I am fairly new myself. I have had my gun for three weeks now and haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. I also hate plastic guns. I was looking at the Ruger LCP and went with the P-64 because it is all metal and the ammo is less expensive and easier to find than ...

Re: Report - 93 Cast Loads and Bullseye
I really like using Bullseye in my 9mm and my Makarov loads. I also like Acurate #5. I got my load data form here.

New member and new P-64 owner from Utah.
Hi everyone, I just picked up my fourth 9x18 pistol on Saturday. A 1973 P64 and am looking forward to shooting it and using it for ccw. I want to know what the best overall # recoil and hammer or main spring to get? I also own a Pa-63, a CZ-82 and did own a commercial Russian hi-cap Makarov but rece...
