DA only?
The P64 is small enough to be shot DA only, I wish I knew of a way to block the SA. 7 to 10yds is about as much as I am ever going to shoot the P64. Those ranges don't really require a SA and you can lighten the DA a lot with new hammer springs. Now to figure out how to block the SA ???? Maybe I am ...

Re: Springs
I told my wife about the ATF letter and she said it didn't matter as I had to many guns now and didn't need anymore.

Re: Springs
What does the recoil spring have to do with the safety detent? Recoil spring you just slide over barrel or am I missing something. I bought a new safety from my Polish friend Marcin and after installing it every thing worked a lot easier with the new safety. The old one was quite worn. Nice change f...

Good load for P64
Loaded up and shot 50 rounds of reloaded rounds for the P64 pistol. Used 3.6grs of W2311 and 93gr Midwest casting COL of .970. At 10yds fired ten rounds into a 3 to 4" group so they were exceedingly accurate. Also a good side effect I could shoot 50 rounds and not have to rest my hand. Recoil w...

Re: Springs
I went to 18# first and the DA was nice but the SA was to breath on it and it went off, so I changed to 19# and the DA was a little worse but not bad but the SA was still unaccpetable. Finally went to 20# and the DA is not as bad as factory DA but not real good or bad but the SA is acceptable still ...

Re: P64 to Range Today.
Most .32ACP calibers are 71 to 73grs. and at a diameter of .312 so your bullet couldn't be that small. So you can see what the difference is by looking at one of them.

Re: New Topic Maybe?
I loaded and fired 50rds of 93gr LRN from Missoui Cast. It was shooting probably between 900 to 950fps. I use 3.6grs of W231 and it was a great round, you could shoot it all day. American primers, brass and bullets and I enjoyed shooting the gun. I'll load 50 more and see what they do with a chrongr...

Re: P64 to Range Today.
I thought there never was a 71gr bullet ever made for the 9X18 Mak, when they first started playing around with the guns they were using a 32cal 71gr but did not accept it. That's what was told to me so I have to believe it.

P64 to Range Today.
I took my P64 to range today and shot 50rds of 93gr Missouri Cast lfn bullets with 3.6grs of W231. The gun shot reallly nice with the 19# spring in it only compaint is SA is just too light with 19#'s for me. Didn't have any light strikes but I was using WSP and those are probably easier to set off t...

Was the ammo American or Russian for the light strikes?

Re: Hammer spring poundage
Right now I am satisfied with the 18# spring feel on DA and SA but I have never fired the gun yet. That will happen next week. If the magazine falls out or light SA strikes I will go to the 19# spring.
I hope the 18# works as the feel of the gun is great with this spring.

Re: I was shocked!
Wasn't any around here lately in Wichita, Ks because I looked and called everywhere within reason. Found one on gunbroker for $230 and $15 shipping plus $26 FFL handling fee. That's way to much for it but its done and now I have changed the hammer spring so that's another $13 part and shipping. Hope...

Re: P83 vs P64
I think I will pull the trigger DA 1000 times to see if that loosens anything up. I have already done 100 times so only 900 to go. I took a look at those 93gr Missouri Cast 9X18mm LRN .365 bullets I loaded and will go out and shoot them next week. I loaded 10ea 3.2, 10ea 3.3, 10ea 3.4, 10ea 3.5 and ...

P83 vs P64
I really can see why the Poles went to a P83 and dropped the P64. (No one get mad as this is just my opinion). The double action trigger is even atrocious with a 18,19, 20# hammer spring in it, and the SA mode disappears with hammer spring when it is below 20#'s on the one I have. Hair trigger is wh...
