OT: "made" at work today

You might want to check into unemployment benefits at this time. I'm not sure what your state laws are in regards to employment, but it seems you have a case. If I'm not mistaken, you were let go without warning and show a steady work history with the organization and therefor should have the right ...

I thought that the P-64 wasn't meant to shoot ammo larger than 94gr??? Nice group.

I've been told that "bounceback" is the reason you can't shoot ammunition that contains steel. When I'm at short ranges, 20 yards, I am only allowed to shoot Winchester which contains lead and not steel. The management actually runs a magnet over the ammo and you can tell immediately that ...

Unfortunately in this case employment policy will rule. I truly hope that you don't lose your job, but I'm sure this is a lesson learned for all.

An old Wolf Misshap

Norm,

Reading between the lines, you're saying I need to get rid of it and not use it, huh? I just put $160 in getting it refinished, parkerized & duracoat. I have only shot these at the range and normally shoot the Silver Bear, 94 gr FJM & HP. Are these OK??

I like to keep ammo available in quantity all the time. I received 1,000 rounds of Wolf ammo, 100gr FMJ the other week. The reasoning here is that this is the same ammunition I am buying at the shooting range. I guess I am concerned, but haven't had any problems.

9mm mak stopping power vs 38 special?

Check out Buffalo Bore Ammunition for some insane loads. I ordered the "Heavy 10mm" load for my Glock 20. The specs are 200 gr. F.M.J. - F.N. (1,200fps/M.E. 639 ft.lbs.) and 180 gr. Speer Uni Core - J.H.P. (1,350fps/M.E. 728 ft.lbs.). I don't see any ammunition for the 9x18, but I thought ...

My friend's Kel-Tec .380 vs. my Polish...

Anyone heard the same about the Kel-Tec PF-9? It's supposed to be even smaller than the P11, P42 and P40. I've seen some good reviews and am thinking of getting one for carry only and wouldn't take it to the range and shoot hundreds of rounds like I do my P-64, Ruger 357 or Glock 20.

Anyone??

OK, I've got to put in my .02 cents in on this one. My buddy bought a Taurus "Judge" Stainless Steel with 6.5" barrel which shoots the 45 LC and 410 SS loads. I've got to admit that I was very impressed with the accuracy and power, although it is a HUGE revolver. I'm actually thinking...

One in the tube?

I'm very comfortable carrying a round in the chamber, de-cocked with safety on. I had my P-64 refinished so the safety is smooth and I practice using it in the range like this from day one. I guess I'm much more comfortable with my P-64 with a round in the chamber more so than my Glock...I've never ...

New Photos of Mak and P-64

To All,

Don't get jealous, the P-64 with stainless is mine!!! It should be here in a few days, and I couldn't be any happier with the results. I'm going to use Troy for all my reconditioning services.

SIMPLY AMAZING!!!

Thanks.

How often do you get to shoot?

Garry, Yup, you seem to be right. I was "nicked" on my neck at the range a few weeks ago. There was a Dumb A@* pulling up quickly as if firing around a corner and was also rapid firing. Needless to say he hit the target holder and the bullet richoted back and nicked my neck. I couldn't bel...

How often do you get to shoot?

Hey Guys, I try to respond and get involved as much as possible, so sorry for the late response. I try to shoot at least once a week. Last weekend my fiance and myself went to an outdoor, state funded range about an hour away from my house and shot about 650 rounds total. I was shooting my Glock 20,...
