Looks to be in fair condition. I really like mine. Comfortable to shoot, nice trigger, and accurate.
I see you got a mag with the milled plate. I like the way those look better than the stamped.

Re: Wil you still carry Safty off with one in the chamber?
The Frontsight guy claims that the problem was that he didn't have a round chambered. Can you confirm that it was that the safety was engaged and not that it was being carried Condition Three as is claimed by Frontsight?

Re: FEG SMC 380 FTF
Are you sure about the firing pin? If the tip has been broken, worn, or reshaped incorrectly, that might account for the issue.
Have you removed the firing pin and checked the pin for burrs and the chamber for burrs and fouling?

Could be. Or maybe my memory just ain't what it used to be. I'll still looking. I think it was in an email that I deleted but it might have made its way on to another forum that I read.teej wrote:we could be recalling two different incidents.

Re: Wil you still carry Safty off with one in the chamber?
After the jeweler recovered he did an interview and explained that he drew his gun in the life and death adrenal rush, he DID NOT TAKE HIS PISTOL OFF SAFETY when he tried to fire. By that time he was being hit with multiple rounds. I recently saw this vid and my memory ws that he was trying, unsucc...

I didn't save it. It was adequately accurate. I didn't group as well with it, probably because of the long trigger pull, but I stayed on the target.teej wrote:OP, where is your PF9 target picture??

Re: P64 to Range Today.
The "hot" round was a practice round. Sintered = frangible. It was suitable only for practice The available information, scant as it is, seems to disagree. What we have seems to indicate that this was intended to be a service round. Yes, I know that sintered is (essentially) frangible (no...

Re: P64 to Range Today.
According to this web page, Sellier & Bellot produced a "hot" 4.5 gram (~69 grain) sintered bullet in 9x18 Makarov specifically for the Czech CZ82 platform.

Re: field stripping a bear
Makarovs are generally painfully easy to strip and reassemble. Sometimes the trigger guard bounces back up while a Mak is dissassembled and it will make reassembly MUCH harder. Just make sure the TG is pulled back down and slightly to the side again and it should reassemble much easier. Thanks. I'm...

Re: P-64 as a firearm for SHTF/WROL/TEOTWAWKI/zombie apocaly
As much as I like the idea of supporting local Ohio business, I can't in good conscience endorse Hi-Point C9's as good weapons. I've seen too many people report jamming problems after even mildly extended use. The issue tends to be exactly the opposite: failure to break-in the firearm. Additionally...

Re: "Helpful" advice.
When someone accuses you of owning a "Commie Gun" gently remind them that there is no communist flag flying over your home. Truth to be told, I am the one who used the term "Commie Gun" to (attempt to) specifically communicate that the gun was designed and manufactured by Commun...

Re: Wil you still carry Safty off with one in the chamber?
I'm curious about how good the Makarov safety is. It's very good. The safety is nothing but a big cam which locks out the trigger, drops the hammer ("decocker"), and creates a physical obstruction for the hammer/firing-pin interface ("hammer block"). The firing-pin is a light-we...

Re: "Helpful" advice.
Shot at Vandalia a couple times to check out a new purchase. It jammed quite a bit and I turned it over to them to fix. They did a great job, over a year later and an unk # of round downrange with no problems. I have stopped shooting there since getting CCP at MV Shooting Range off Old Troy. A much...
