ozarker,
When you mentioned the Mak Forum not wanting the P-64 called a Mak, I don't want the P-64 called a Mak either............... This fine pistol can stand on it's own anytime!

My Opinion Only
Bob, You won't get any "flack" from me. Although I prefer to shoot automatics, I really enjoy shooting a revolver once in a while. They have a calming effect to me, and I take my time and enjoy shooting, not just pumping rounds downrange. I only have a few revolvers; a Colt New Service in ...

So what else are people shooting?
I LOVE shooting the 1911A1 in .45ACP. This is my favorite handgun of all times, but I still love them all. I guess that next to the .45APC, it would be the 9mmP, and finally the .40 S&W. This is for pistols of course. In rifles, I like the 8mm then the .7.62 NATO. I have an MG42 and 2 1919A4 bel...

Throat
Usually on my Military collectible firearms (as I classify the P-64) I try to keep them as original as possible. What I am thinking about is after Christmas is over, get one of the chrome plated pistols! Now, this one I would polish the feed ramp on!

Thinking about a shoulder rig
Thanks for posting the information on the "PagerPal", I have never seen anything from these folks! That is one nice looking concealment holster; I am impressed! I would go with the Pager Pal, IMHO

b52stan,
After re-reading your original post, you do make a lot of sense with the 115 gr. bullet. I have never used Bear ammo, so I can't comment on it, but I have read good and bad on the Forums???? At least I won't be buying any Bear ammo now.

ATF and the P-64
Yea, this thread just popped into my mind one day since the P-64 and PPK were so close in size. This is really weird that they can be imported and the PPK can't????
Hey "cruiser" I gotta go, someone is knocking at the door, LMAO!!!!!

Has anyone polished the throat to see if the rounds feed into the chamber any better? Usually, I do this to regular commercial pistols, but my P64 feed fine.

ATF and the P-64
Even if you add the 10 points for "Drift Adjustable Sights", this would only bring it up to 74 points. Then add the "target grips" and you would go over the 75 points required. This one is confusing; it appears the pistol should not have been imported, but since they have been he...

Did I almost blow my gun up?
dickfunk, Another thought, how far were the fired cases being thrown? If they were being thrown into "outer space", the recoil spring may be weak. This is the case with the G3 and CETME rifles. The rounds in the rifles should be thrown about 10', but when they go 20', there is something wr...

OK, I pulled mine out of the vault a few minute ago. Here is my information: 1. 1967 2. Import marked TG, KNOX TN. 3. Both grip panels flat 4. Round hammer 5. Matching magazine, mismatched spare magazine 6. Condition; New 7. S/N WG03098 8. Makarov x18 added to slide stamp 9. Decent Double Action, gr...

dickfunk, The rounds in the barrel certainly look normal to me! Have you changed to the lighter weight recoil springs! The fired cases almost look like the case is exiting the chamber while the pressure is still high and that is what is causing the slight bulge. I am stumped for a definitive answer?...

I come up with aq score of 64 with a quick calculation. This certainly MAY be the reason they added the Thumbrest Grip panel! I really don't care as long as I get to keep mine, LOL

OK, I am going to show some of my ignorance; what is a "Pager Pal"? I assume it is a pager holster? Is there a particular one that you buy? Sorry for the dumb question, LOL!

ATF and the P-64
Here is a question for you guys..... Since the P-64 pistols that are in most dealers inventory have the thumbrest grip panel, and most agree it is an ATF "requirement?" that they be added to make it a sporting pistol, what about the size of the pistol? The P-64 is a small pocket type pisto...
