Fla. Question.
Down here in FL. I can go into a store with my carry permit, buy a gun and leave with it in 10 minutes, no wait time. That goes for handguns and longguns purchased within the state. Handguns purchased outside the state you live in have to be transfered through an FFL that is in your state, longguns ...

Got my Wolff Recoil Spring today
I got my springs in yesterday. Put in the 22# recoil spring and replaced the firing pin spring (what fun). But I looked at replacing the FP spring as a chance to clean, inspect and regrease the safety block and such. To get the slide back on with the 22#er I had to put the muzzle end of the slide on...

it is a stiffer, replacement firing pin spring. When you replace the recoil springs with stiffer ones it will cause the slide to move back into battery much faster. The increased speed of the slides forward movement could be transfered into the firing pin when the slide stops moving, causeing the fi...

Nice p64 turbocat, I like that sight. Could that be the bead sight from a shotgun? From your pics it looks as if the rear sight blade has been removed so that your using the trough as your rear sight, is that so?

trigger guard pin problem
Norm
I was going to use cold blue on the roll pin; the one I got from Lowe's has a black oxide finish on it already. I used a needle file to cut the pin to length so as not to heat up the metal.

trigger guard pin problem
I have thought of replacing the trigger guard pin with a rolled tension pin (as ugly and as much as I hate rolled pins I think one wouldnt work its way out when I shoot). A 1/8 th inch diameter rolled pin is just slightly bigger than the trigger guard pin hole and after being pressed in it whould ha...

Well...my three day weekend came and went, unfortunately it got packed with a bunch of crap that I had to take care of and it didn't leave me with any time for me to work on Duracoating my gun :(. I don't have another concealable handgun anyway and I didn't want to go 3 weeks unarmed. Don't worry th...

New Bill introduced - HR 1022
I called my congressmen today and urged him to strongly oppose HR1022. I signed the petition as soon as I saw the link that Mattswabb posted.
Thanks for posting that link Matt.

Left handed?
you could test it to see if it is safe to carry with the safety off. at the range, grip the gun one handed and ready to fire in DA. keep you finger off the trigger and with your other hand tap on the hammer with a section of 2x4. I'm not saying to wail on the thing, just light taps that steadily inc...
