Jason, welcome to the Brotherhood. I too use Silver Bear and Hornady defense. Also shoot LVE FMJ for practice.

Re: Stop the madness!!!

Got 1000 rounds of LVE coming from Classic Firearms. They also have P-64's in stock, a bit pricey though, as well as magazines and CZ-82's. Here is the link: :hi:

Re: WELCOME THREAD AND MEM, INFO

Bill, ever hear the phrase "the true test of another man's intelligence is how much he agree's with you?" Well, you pass with flying colors! And while I do not think I gave serious example of my age, you pegged it correctly. I was directly present at the afterbirth of the TSA takeover of &...

Re: WELCOME THREAD AND MEM, INFO

wlockridge and any others reading, I agree 100%. And I think that if you, with your obvious talent for presenting informative, rational, objective ideas were a spokesperson for those of us gun owners who are not as articulate then maybe we would not sound like the dim witted, knuckle dragging, low b...

Re: Stop The Ban that is coming!

Bear34, I remember an awful lot of people in the early 90's saying that there was no way an "assault weapons" ban would pass and yet it did. Thankfully it had a sunset date which was allowed to happen. And I also remember that there seemed to be much more in the way of public apposition to...

Re: WELCOME THREAD AND MEM, INFO

I spent a LOT of time working with and around LEO in a past career and I have a lot of respect and appreciation for them and what they do. When I spoke of you being a spokesperson I was thinking of a Pro Rights spokesperson for us owners, especially the quiet ones. You are able to put words / though...

Re: WELCOME THREAD AND MEM, INFO

Welcome to the Brotherhood, we always love to get new members, especially well spoken members. Have you thought of being a spokesperson?? I am thinking you would make a great one. Anyway, welcome aboard.

Re: Police trade in P-220

What year? I have one that is German made for the American market (american style mag release) that I bought used in 1998 that I absolutely love too and the mags do the same thing. Drop free mags were not such a desireable thing back in the day as it was thought you would loose them (military thinki...

Re: First Gun

Future Pilot, must admit the idea of getting a good quality .22 and practicing is an excellent idea. And I must admit that the P-64 makes a good CC gun, easy to hide and easy to use when needed, but I also carry other sidearms depending on my perceived need or just how I feel that day. And that bein...

Re: P64 strength

you shot 9x19 in a 9x18 Makarov caliber pistol??!! That is asking for a missing hand or parts thereof. 9x18's are all blowback style whereas almost all 9x19's are locked breach type. This is because the pressures developed by the 9x19 are sooo much higher than a 9x18. Shooting 9x19 in a 9x18...

Re: P64 strenght

I have not had a great day here, and I just did it again dalek. Misread your question, thought you were asking about how many rounds not how HOT the rounds are. Anyway, the abnswer is the PA-63 will not tolerate +P or high pressure loads OR loads with a heavier bullet than 95gr and it is beca...

Re: P64 strenght

The PA-63 most likely would come apart before the Makarov, P-64 or CZ-82 because the PA-63's frame is aluminum whereas the rest all have steel frames. However, I had a PA-63 (sold it and sorta regret it  ) that had a round count of over 10K with no frame damage or excessive wear that I could f...
