Well with the new springs 20# recoil and 18# main spring this puppy shoots sweet! Flings the brass 35 feet though :roll:

I installed the 20# recoil spring and the 18# main or hammer spring

The firing pin spring comes with the recoil spring...

WOW!!

That 18 pound main spring made a HUGE difference in the double action trigger pull! The single action is not much different but it was sweet to begin with. The recoil spring I installed is a 20# one and deff made the slide a bit harder to pull back so that should tame the recoil a bit. Should get to...

This is a 1967 model And when SOG says excellent they mean it! I did have to tear down the Safety and clean out the detent cavity but other than that it was pretty clean just had a bunch of thick oil all over it. Since these headspace on the case mouth you need to measure the depth from the ridge in the chamber to the back of the chamber. If someone else who does not have this problem would do so as well that would give us a baseline to work from. I will do so as soon as my P64 arrives early next week. Howev...

Auto, have you shot any of those Berry plated bullets. I just bought 250 of them (I know, I buy in low quantities). I have shot the .357" ones through my .38 Special and they shoot pretty good, just wondering if you've shot them from a 9x18 handgun and if they're worth a hoot. Thanks. Not yet ...
