Re: SURPLUS GOOD RATING QUESTIONS

That's too bad, I think the rating they gave ur gun was too high. I got mine from them a couple months ago and it looked pretty good. I was prepared to gripe if it had a billboard import mark. Makes me have 2nd thoughts about another surplus from them that they rate good to very good. But that said,...

Re: SURPLUS GOOD RATING QUESTIONS

I'm kinda picky on my guns and how they look, if I just received that one it would be sent back.

Re: P64 Slide not holding open

Sounds to me like it's a problem with the slide stop lever, the empty magazine pushes against a small tab that protrudes from the lever, moving the lever up and locks slide open. The front corner of the magazine is what hits the tab of the lever. Maybe that tab on the lever is worn or broken off....

Re: pull trigger, hammer doesn't drop

Take off the grips, on the right side you will see several pieces ( below the slide) that operate with the trigger. I like Tri Flow because it foams when sprayed, then I use q tips to soak up the excess. If it moves, lightly oil it . Mine went from no trigger engagement to perfect operation with a s...

Re: pull trigger, hammer doesn't drop

My single action stopped working after a cleaning in my ultrasonic cleaner. Pull the trigger and nothing but a sloppy trigger. Turned out it was just a lack of lubrication. Sprayed it with Tri Flow and presto, started working as it should. I do get a light strike now and then, just put in a new firi...

Re: Single action not working

I should have been clear on that, I took it out of the box, tried all the functions a few times and then it went into the ultrasonic cleaner. Anyhow all seems good, ordered some grips from tillander and will take the slide completely apart to clean it completely. Last one I had all the springs were ...

Re: Single action not working

I think I have it fixed, was fine until I cleaned it in my ultrasonic and replaced the trigger spring. I was testing it out before oiling. So I squirted in the Tri Flow and things started working right. Took it to the range fired about 65 rounds. Fed fine, ejected fine but did have 3 light strikes. I...

Single action not working

Just got a p64 from classic arms . As luck would have it the single action doesn't work most of the time. May need to pull trigger several times before whatever part engages and releases the hammer. Anyone know of what causes this ?
