[quote author=sapo60 board=others thread=2443 post=26976 time=1235455926]Your Astra 400 might Chamber 38 ACP but dont think of shooting 38 Super in it ever. It wont chamber 38 Special either, Dont do it and risk ruining a neat firearm. ::) Wow. What great information. I really have to thank you guys.

Ive fired Wolf, S&B,Brown Bear and Silver Bear in my two P64's. I agree that the S&B is the cleanest. If you want real fun though ,shoot Brown Bear the next time you're at an indoor range. Inside of ten shots the whole place will be gasping and wheezing. I think the smoke and smell could eas...

Astra 400
I'm thinking of buying an Astra model 400 1921. These pistols are bored in 9mm Largo. I have been told that it will also chamber 38ACP and 38 Special.
Anyone got any idea if this is so?

If they gave a test for congress there wouldn't be one of those damn fools down there.

Eric Holder
[quote author=breeze board=general thread=2380 post=26246 time=1232308544]Has anyone read the article in this months NRA magazines about Eric Holder? Of all of Thee Obama's nominations, Holder is the worst. I have urged my senators not to vote for him. Of course, McCain will vote for him anyway. :-*

I managed to purchase it at 209. It was one of their special prices. Now they are up to 219 at SOG. Century is asking 199 and up. J&G had them for 219 and up. Hope this helps.hairypolack wrote:how much?

Wasn't Ol Bobby was a member of the black panthers back in the sixties? They didn't seem to mind weapons.

P3AT Light strikes
I followed everyone's advice, particularly the part about polishing this little gun. The firing pin chamber had a lot of stuff in it. After I cleaned it out and polished up the pin the misfires stopped entirely. Once again this site has educated me!

Well, I finally got a Romanian Tok from SOG. It fires anything without a single jam or eject problem. So far Romanian, Czech, Bulgarian, Wolf and S&B with no problems. What a bang!

I just added a (new to me)P3At to my collection. It's actually a first generation of the model.Small and light. Fits in a shirt pocket or front jean pocket with no imprint! Finally took it to the range. I was firing in the inner circle from the get-go! Recoil is not bad when you consider the size of...

Wow. That is a dead ringer for my Feg PMK380. I wonder if the importer decided to fiddle with the number so that it looked like he had an exclusive?

Winds of North Blowing Cold!
Brrr. The winter has come to the old pueblo (Tucson). I can see snow on the tops of the Santa Catalina and the Rincon ranges. In my back yard the thermometer plunged to 54F
God, I love Tucson. A little hard in the summer though.

Best Source for Makarov Ammo?
The least expensive, reliable 9x18mm ammo I have found is at ammunitiontogo.com. Silver Bear FMJ and Brown Bear FMJ are $8.95 for a box of 50. I like it better than Wolf. The primers in the "Bears" doesn't seem to be quite as hard. +1 I've found great prices and quick shipping from www.am...

Ammo Question
So far I've shot Wolf, Silver Bear, Brown Bear and S&B without any problems. Brown Bear seems to give off more smoke and smell than the others, but it's usually cheaper. Blazer has been a constant problem. FTL and FTE over and over. I think my P64 doesn't like the aluminum cases. I've had the sa...

I've fired a couple of hundred rounds of Silver Bear without any problems. I'm using Wolf springs.
