Small frame inaccurate shooters
To be honest, the P-64 is the most inaccurate gun I have owned or shot, until last weekend. Nothing against the P-64, it is getting better than 4" groups at 10 yards, but the other guns with longer barrels, and/or smaller calibers of course did better. Tough to use at 25 yards, but more than ha...

Re: Limp Trigger
Thanks for showing that video. While the problem I am having was limp trigger when moving safety from safe to fire, the video brought up a point that I had not messed with. This is also mentioned in this thread, peening slide: http://www.p64resource.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=4173 I did see a...

Re: Limp Trigger
Looks like you found the problem.
Just checked my 5 times fired 9x19 trimmed to 9x18 cases for comparison.
As fired 5 times and unsized were 17.81
After resizing die 17.98 to 18.02
Only posting to show the difference between fired and resized.

Re: P64 won't go together with Wolff 22lb spring
Add me to the list of those that needed to be ground flat, from an order I received from Wolff end of January. Like most probably did, just followed advice here and never bothered to email Wolff (6-8 out of every 1000?) I replaced springs not for reduced recoil, but to prevent wear and tear. Safety ...

Re: P64 won't go together with Wolff 22lb spring
I didn't notice any difference going from stock spring to the 22#. Wife also shot both springs and agreed. Also didn't complain or mention the stock spring or recoil as ever being issue though. She has confiscated the P-64 as her gun now. She has shot stuff with a little more recoil, so I guess it's...

Re: Reliable CC if using safety in normally worn P-64's?
cjm135, you might be onto something, but in my case, the slide was only moved with safety off. Always snapped slide fully, never easy on slide. After chambering a round with slide, then squeezing trigger to manually lower thumb held hammer, and last step was placing the safety on, or safe. From this...

Hammer strut to hammer gave easy DA trigger.
Trying to correct issues I was having with the safety, I finally completely dis-assembled the P-64. Long story short, the hammer strut was not riding on the tiny pin inside the hammer. Instead, it was riding on the curved outer portion of the hammer. It has been that way since the day I got it from ...

Re: Reliable CC if using safety in normally worn P-64's?
Thanks for the replies. Nothing is broken or cracked or severely worn, but everything has moderate wear inside. It was an Aim grade "B" purchase that I have shot probably 400 rounds through so far. Used the safety during the first few dozen or so rounds, until the Safety Catch broke in hal...

Reliable CC if using safety in normally worn P-64's?
I have been carrying my P-64 with one in the chamber, hammer down, safety off, using the DA as a sort of safety. This was mainly because I had issues where an AD occurred moving safety from safe to fire. Decided to look into the issue I had and sure enough, it is screwed up. Before I go into how, se...

Re: Saftey ON or OFF ..... CC'in
There's been at least two P-64 ADs (close calls at that) reported on this forum that the safety most certainly would have prevented. Safety on for me. While I am still unsure of what happened to me, seems the opposite has occurred. Accidental Discharge with one in the chamber while moving safety fr...

Re: Reloading system?
A great complete turret press system is the LEE90304. It includes everything you need except specific die, and is the higher end Lee stuff. $167 at Grafs if you have a $30 C&R, or $215 at Midway. (another reason to get the C&R). http://www.midwayusa.com/product/785993/lee-4-hole-turret-press...

Re: Reloading system?
Also when using the 4 hole Lee Turret press (get the "Classic Cast" version, check reviews), you can simply remove the advancing rod, and proceed by manually turning each die into position as desired. This is great for starting out, as you can see things at a slower pace, triple checking e...

Re: Reloading system?
+1 for the Lee "Classic Cast" Turret press. For a press that costs less than $100, it gets the job done in short order (after you add all the other goodies).

Re: Versa Carry
I just got my VersaCarry. :? It is indeed a "minimalist" holster :!: Below are pics of it on my CZ-82 (I ordered the 9mm/Medium). I will say the clip is a SOB to get on/over the belt! I would recommend LOTS of practice putting a gun w/ versacarry on your belt in an UN-loaded condit...
