do i need to oil the magazine????

I use a mag brush to scrub out both the inside of the magazine and the mag well. They're available at many of the shooting supply outfits and come in different sizes, including 9mm. Brownells, e.g., sells them for $5.60 @ www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=8764/Product/MAG_BRUSH.

Ammunition

Me neither. I purchase ammo online from 5 different vendors (in fact Big Brown dropped off the latest batch at my door this morning) and I've never been asked for a driver's license. Seems to me that would just be asking for identity theft.

Slight Pitting: Any Ideas?

My J&G Sales "very good plus" P-64 had some light surface rust also. Ten minutes with fine (#0000) steel wool and Rem Oil and it cleaned up beautifully. Rub gently, wipe frequently with a clean cloth, and use plenty of oil.

"... or me in September for probable kidney stone lithotripsy" Man the last kidney stone I had extracted years ago they used the old fashioned roto rooter procedure, you don't even want to know. Far as heart health goes a brisk 30 minute walk (treadmill or otherwise) 3-4 times a week works...

The Buy Sell Trade board

10 posts sounds reasonable to me. As a new member with <10 that will exclude me short term but that's OK, it'll motivate me to get better acquainted with my new P-64 so I can add a (hopefully) worthwhile post from time to time. I appreciate this board as a valuable resource.

Day at the Range

I've never seen anything quite that reckless. Guy must have a death wish. Hopefully, at the very least, he made certain that the two best marksmen in the group were positioned to his immediate right and left.

p64 reliability

Not sure I would call it a trend but the trigger return spring on my "new" J&G Sales 1970 round hammer P64 snapped after firing seven rounds at the range. I installed one of Norm's replacement springs and have had no further problems with this neat little pistol. The double action trig...
