Re: Recoil
Makes sense. In my case, well, this is the first handgun I ever owned. So, I might have just got used to it or something. As I said, I feel happier shooting it with one hand.

Re: Recoil
MakAttack, how many rounds do you think it would take to start making the P64 uncomfortable? Highest amount I myself have ever shot in one event was 150 (Silver bear HP) and that was using factory springs.

FMJ or HP in 9x18?
If you were to use, or are using, the P64 or any other 9x18 handgun for CCW, would you pick FMJ or HP? And why?

Recoil
Is the P64 recoil that bad? Some people in other boards claim it is terrible but, well, I prefer to shoot it single handed and it never bothered me.

Re: P 64 vs P 83
I have a P64 and want to get a P83. And the CZ82. Think of them like Pokemons: gotta catch'em all.

Re: Holsters for P64 that work for me
Resurrecting this thread, I too believe that OC might help the BG plan his attack. I prefer Sun-Tzu's ideal of not letting the enemy know your strength and weaknesses, but make sure you know his.

Re: Need new magazines
Too bad Wideners keep reporting they are out of stock of CZ82s. I too want to get one.

Re: Shaven recoil spring
As Curly1 said, taking the slider out and/or putting it back in with the 22lb spring is not that bad. I am more concerned about marking/damaging the mating surfaces as now the spring will not be touching them uniformly.

Shaven recoil spring

Cleaning the cleaning brass brushes
After you went shooting and then cleaned the barrel with your trusty brass brush, how do you clean the brush itself? Carb and brake cleaner seemed to be useless...

Re: Is p-64 a good target pistol
It could be me who does not have the years of experience as many do -- the P-64 is my first handgun -- but I do not think the trigger is too heavy or the recoil is that bad. I will say shotting it single handed feels better and more accurate to me somehow, but I am told to practice holding it in fro...

Re: What type/brand of ammo do you like to feed to your pist
I myself have been getting Sellier & Bellot that I buy at http://www.ammunitiontogo.com/. Price is about the same as http://www.cheaperthandirt.com but their shipping charges are much better. I do have some 200 rounds of silver bear hollowpoints but have yet to use them.

CZ-82 : Makarov or Makarov-caliber?
As my first post I shall ask a rather newbie question: is the CZ-82 a Makarov clone (as in all parts from a Russian one would fit) or, like the P64, a gun designed to fire that caliber?
