Re: Liquidating Guns

I have avoided buying certain guns because it would mean yet another caliber to stock. I already have to buy ammo for .22LR, .380, 9x18, 9mm, .40, .45, 7.62x25, 7.62x39, 7.62x54, and 30.06. It tends to get expensive and storage can become an issue. I plan to buy a barrel that will convert my .40 BHP...

Re: Where to buy a P64.

They sold like crack when they went C&R. I'm betting we'll see them for sale before too long for $300 thanks to the artificial shortage created by opportunistic hoarders.
It will be like the "ammo shortage" all over again. A shame really.

Re: Theoretical Spring Post

Yes, the stronger recoil spring WILL reduce the slide's velocity to the rear upon firing. The lighter mainspring is also slowing it somewhat. So in that regard it may be about the same as stock. The difference is upon the slide's return. The stronger spring increases the velocity at which the slide ...

Re: Quick introduction and my new P64

Welcome to the site/club. Even though you have a decade plus on me, I too prefer all metal. That's why I bought one myself. Good to see I'm not the only one. Yes they are a little harsh on recoil, and my hand slipped up the grip enough to get a little slide abrasion, but I really like it. I find peo...

Re: Not a good experience with S.O.G.

Hey, I must be a gunsmith since I'm the only one who inspected mine! My gun was vey clean looking...on the outside. When I took it apart I found cosmo in places I didn't expect. After cleaning, the safety worked far easier and the trigger pull was noticebly better. You DO NOT have to take it down to...

Theoretical Spring Post

I was recently doing some research on a Browning High Power site about hammer and recoil springs. On the site they stated that Browning eventually went to the same hammer spring strength as the .40 BHP on the 9mm MKIII. Supposedly this would reduce slide velocity, reduce battering/wear, and extend t...

Welcome and I hope you enjoy your p-64. Working on them can be difficult, but ultimately it is worth it.

Re: Backup?

Something to think about, when you are sitting you are on the IWB pistol depending on where you wear it. If you have one on your ankle as well, you may be able to access it (or prepare to) merely by resting your ankle on your knee. At this point I want to get another P-64 to carry on my ankle. I pla...

Re: No. 6 Gahendra

Foo Bird that's http://www.atlantacutlery.com/ I don't buy from them any more, their guns are not as good as the one's from IMA http://www.ima-usa.com/ , its all from the same place but I think IMA's are the cream of the top, that MH that you are taking about is a Francotte , most of them are none ...

Re: No. 6 Gahendra

From your previous work I know that rifle will be something when you are done. So what kind of stripper is that you are using?

I recently received a knife catalog that is selling antique rifles found in a warehouse in Nepal. I'm so tempted to buy a Martini Henry short lever M-1878 it's not funny.

Could the firing pins be obstructed from moving freely somehow?

Re: Polish Army having Problems with new WIST-94 Pistol.

Ugh. That Wist-94 is fugly. In fact, it's so ugly merely taking it out of it's holster should be enough to run someone off.

As for the P83, I don't get the appeal either.

Re: CZ-52 Range Report

I THINK there is a Glock made with a 7.62x25 barrel.

EDIT: There is a modern pistol made, but it is not a Glock. It's a Zastava product.
