CDNN sells the JLD PTR-91 for $899. That'd be the way to go.....just pay the transfer fees, background check, and shipping. That way you'd bypass tax as well.

I didn't think you could have stuff like that in Mass???? Seriously, all kidding aside....I really thought that you guys couldn't have AR's, UZI's, etc. If you can, AND you are absolutely against the AK..... then I'd get an AR. I like FAL's, Cetme/G3/91 style rifles much better than the AR, but ammo...

It's so funny with grips. I like wood grips to be checkered, period. BUT, when you have wood THAT gorgeous....you just have to leave it SMOOTH

Alright, alright already! Sorry Carguy. Geeze. Well, it started off kinda funny anyway. Tuesday I called my gun shop and asked if they had received my Sig P6. The guy told me that they had received it Monday, but were really busy and hadn't had a chance to log it in and call me. So I told him that I...

Well, at least when they say in there adds
"Just found in warehouse.....lost for years, and look what we just uncovered!!!"
.....they're not just blowing smoke as salesmen.

Rumors also have it that they are about fed up with NJ. Some have stated that they could move to West Virginia or Virginia and have a lot easier time with business.

Vepr .308
Haven't heard anything, but $500 is darn tempting! I know that everything that I've heard about ANY Saiga (be it shotgun, .223, 7.62x39) has been positive. They are made in Russia, and seem to be very well made.

If you like the gun, get it. I'm not going to burst anyones bubble. However, for $1000 you can get A LOT more in .308. CDNN sells JLD PTR-91 (H&K-91 or G3 copy) for $900 Entreprise Arms sells their standard FAL for $900. It would be really hard to find an M1A for under $1200, BUT you may find a ...

Gray,
That's what I've heard, and I'm thankful. Seems that some states that allow are still more of a pain to deal with. Gotta love good ol TN! Don't plan on moving to California anytime in the next 80 or 90 years....so i should be A-OK. :-/

carguy, I know what you mean, but I just have to do a few things to this bad boy. It is going to cost, but I got SUCH a good deal on it that I can basically SBR it ($200), have the 3-lug adapter installed and barrel shortened/crowned ($110), and I'll still be HUNDREDS UNDER what the gun costs new or...
