Should I give my son my PA-63?
I've been trying to make shooting a family sport for some time, and it seems to be working. My daughter shot in a recent postal match with me and whipped me. She wanted to sign up as a member here so she could shoot this one. My son wanted to as well, so I let them both. I gave my daughter my CZ-82 ...

Fourth of July Shooting Match, 2008 *RESULTS IN*
I used my 1975 and had no failures to feed this time. A few more boxes, and I may have my carry weapon.
I signed my kids up so they could participate. They did well enough that I probably should have told them no.

New user, new FEG, and some questions
I think it's one of the FEG AP pistols. They made lots of them under different contracts and added suffixes to the "AP" to designate the different contracts. It's a 7-round copy of the Walther PP. Check out these pages and see if one describes your pistol: http://www.sunblest.net/gun/FegAP...

I got my SMC 918 on gunbroker. It's the only one I've seen. But I don't haunt the trader sections of the boards, either. I think Norm's BR-61 looks kind of neat. I can't work up the desire for an RK-59 because I've read that the frames crack. Given your "have" list, I'd probably go for the...

sad rusted mag
This sounds like great fun. I gotta find something rusty!critter wrote:Weetabix;
It is a car battery charger. It really only needs 2-3 amps. This only eliminates the rust and has not removed any of the bluing on the mags I have done. Larry

Poll: Should I trade a P-64 for a CZ-52?
The CZ-52 was the first pistol I thought about getting. They're sounding more interesting.

Critter,
Is the battery charger a car battery charger, or one for AA type batteries?
Could you substitute an old wall charger for cell phones or an adapter like that?
I guess I'm asking about voltage ranges.
Thanks!

They are also pretty clumsy and tend to shoot low as a self-defense handgun. I'd think they'd be great self defense weapons if you could just get 7 or 8 bad guys to line up. We wouldn't want to kill people in the next county! :o During the cold war collectors were willing to pay $1000 - $2000 for t...

NO MORE SILVER BEAR PISTOL AMMO!
The Brown Bear ammo works just fine and the price is super, I guess that's what I will be shooting from know on. G.R. I bought a case of it from the Ammunition Center at a gun show. You're talking about the guys from Stillwater? It's just as inexpensive as the Silver Bear. I'm hoping it will feed b...

Understood. However, my objective was to employ the depth and breadth of knowledge and experience resident in the forum membership to elicit salient points I might not previously have considered but which might influence my pondered commutation.deltacornbread wrote: It is your gun. Poll: Should I trade a P-64 for a CZ-52?
I have to admit I'm a bit ambivalent. But hearing that it's fun for plinking helps. I knew the CZ-52 wasn't a CCW gun. I'm more of an accumulating shooter than a collector, so a gun I wouldn't shoot doesn't appeal to me much. I'll have to see if he's still interested after he shoots it. He got rid o...

Poll: Should I trade a P-64 for a CZ-52?
I have three P-64's - two round hammers and one triangular. One of the round hammers, I've never shot. A friend has a few CZ-52's and has suggested a trade. From what I can tell, the pistols seem to have about the same value. He probably got his quite a while ago when they were cheaper. I'm strongly...

One thing we might all remember is that the written word can sometimes be a difficult medium to express and receive thoughts and ideas clearly. You don't have facial expressions, body language, or vocal inflection to help judge just what someone meant by what they said. You have very limited context...
