Re: Odd safety on a P-83

btw you're not using your PA-63 properly, or it's broken. the PA-63 should operate the same way. Safety should go all the way up, hammer should drop.

Re: Odd safety on a P-83

It's a decocker as well as a safety. That's what it's supposed to do.

Interesting P-83 btw. I have a couple of them, and your hammer and sights look different. Mine have the goofy spur hammer.

Re: P64 RECOIL

Not to kick the dead horse here but I just ordered my first P64. I usually shoot a glock 26, and a Kahr CW45. I have read that the recoil on the P64 is just horrible. Now I'm not exactly a "big guy" but I'm not a small guy either. 6'2" 200 lb. I enjoy shooting the before mentioned pi...

given how snappy they are, your hand will give out before the gun gives out. just stick to 95gr or below bullets.

Re: surplus market dried up?

www.southernohiogun.com

you'll need to send in your C&R, or have your FFL send in their FFL, to see what they have, but they have them in stock.

Re: Comparison: P-64 vs Taurus pt709 Slim Nine

Big advantages for the Taurus: -The Taurus safety is actually easy to flip off (and works in the proper direction), whereas the P64 safety is tough and operates in the wrong direction. -The Taurus is drop safe without its safety on. -7 rounds of 9mm+p in a mag vs. 6 rounds of 9x18 in a mag (although...

Re: Where To Buy?

www.southernohiogun.com has them. you'll have to send in your C&R, or have your FFL send in their FFL, to be able to see their inventory, but they do have them, complete with holster, cleaning rod, and 2 mags.

Re: Review: Keepshooting P64 Magazines

FTF's when hand cycling mean nothing. I have some cz-82 mags which will FTF when hand cycling every single round, yet when you actually fire them, work 100%. Go figure.

Re: P64 RECOIL

I am thinking of getting a p64, but all i hear is the recoil is so bad, does anyone know how it compairs to the recoil on a keltec p11 9mm, i don't see how it would be and i don't think the p11 is bad , and do they seem to be a gun that will take a high round count . thanks I own the PF9, P11, and ...

Re: P 64 vs P 83

Hold up. Are you wanting this for concealed carry? No. I want one because I like Mak. caliber handguns. I'm still trying to figure out how to import a FORT-12. Peace favor your sword, Kirk Oh. Well in that case, I'd go for the P83. This will perhaps be an unpopular opinion on here, but I think the ...

Re: P 64 vs P 83

However since I have this addiction for these 9x18's If I run across one at a gun show I will buy it. The price is about the same even if more compared to adding postage and FFL cost. I'm already three guns behind what I want so it will be a long summer. Don't feel bad. I'm four guns behind. ;) One...

Re: P 64 vs P 83

Is there any advantage of the 83 over a mak? I have the mak and 63 and since the 83 is close to both I'm not sure I can justify getting one. They do sound like a good gun tho, even if slightly ugly. Novelty factor. Lots of people know what a Mak is, but will get a "what the heck is that?"...

Re: P64 RECOIL

With the stock springs, it's pretty bad. About like shooting a full bore 357. With a spring swap, it softens up some. I know not everybody will agree with me here, but I think the P64 is not a fun gun to shoot at the range. But note, I love mine (have two) and carry the one with the well worn finish...
