Re: Premature Firing?
I'm glad you're okay! I am not convinced it was necessarily the gun's fault. There are numerous times on this forum where folks have showed pictures of their Prvi Partizan (PPU) brass. There are bulges at the case web area from where it is unsupported at the bottom of the chamber. I wonder if your i...

Re: S&W M&P Shield 40 Vs P64 Pocket Carry
What a freak! Hopefully someone gets that knobhead's license number and reports him. That would have been good if you'd had a good handgun on you at the time. May have made you feel a bit better. Glad you got out of there okay.

Re: No Action in Double-Action
I agree with Kirk. Compare your old and new one and see if maybe some person cut some coils off the old spring to make the pull manageable. Otherwise, the old spring could have been weakened enough that it was easier to pull the trigger in DA. If the springs fit in the gun without filing the ends fl...

Kirk, whatever came of your P-64? Did you do any dressing to those areas and did it fix it?

I got my S&W M&P (.38 S&W Ctg) Parkerized
First off, some folks ask it, "Why would you refinish an old gun and ruin the collectible value of it?" My answer, it was my grandpa's revolver and it was given to me by my mother. It will remain in my family and I want it to look how I want it to look. Plus, the old gloss blue finish was ...

Re: P64 RECOIL
rickn8or, I've had the 17# spring in mine for about 4 years now. I've never had any issues with magazines popping loose when firing. Never had any issues with the hammer force being insufficient to set the primer off. That being said, all P-64's are different. You'll just have to try it out for your...

Re: Slide modification...
Hopefully they have fixed their beavertail grips. There were reports on here of them splitting under recoil and sending splinters into the web of the shooter's hand. Something to think about.

Re: Slide modification...
For the most part the P-64 does have a slight upward angle at the rear of the slide to somewhat account for this. Not sure if it was mostly meant for gloved hands... Poland = cold. However, I would think you could increase the angle at the rear of the slide a bit more maybe. Other than that you may ...

Re: Need an idiot's guide
It takes a lot of force. In one post, I believe it said to freeze the punch you are going to use. Then lightly heat the surrounding area of the frame around the sight. Hold the frozen punch against the sight for a few minutes in an attempt to "contract" the metal while the metal around the...

Re: Any Makarov bullet casters?
RobsTV, that sucks that it's casting them too large. Lee does offer a service to make a custom sized Lube & Sizing Kit. It costs $32 which doesn't seem horrible. Here is the link to it - http://leeprecision.com/custom-lube-and-sizing-kit.html I haven't got the Lee Mak bullet mold yet, but I plan...

Re: new owner of a P64
Sorry I misunderstood that you were looking for an IWB holster for a CZ-82. You can search eBay for CZ 82 IWB and some results will come up. You should be able to come up with a decent IWB holster for a decent price.

Re: new owner of a P64
That holster would be an OC holster and probably wouldn't work well with CCW unless you wore a really long shirt or coat just to cover the holster. It was made for the CZ-82/83 pistols which are much larger than the P-64. I don't think it would fit right to be honest. It would fit rather loosely. I ...

Re: My new addition, P-83!
I agree with Weasel. Way off topic and if you were going to paint something brown, why would you paint it white just to have to strip it and paint it brown? Definitely "phishy" as Weasel says. More than likely he grabbed a can of the "antiqueing" spray paint that cracks as it dri...

This is one of the best guides I found on the net. I personally used it when I took mine apart and together so it definitely is a good guide.
