Why would dry firing with no snap caps damage the safety or?
As the title says... I'm a bit mechanically inclined, and like to look at things and understand how parts work with each other, but in no way am I an expert. The hammer hits the firing pin and the safety, whether there is a round(or snap cap) in the chamber or not, right? So what makes it detrimenta...

Re: Slight prob. with re assembled,Cerakoted pistol
Thanks for the comments. Right now, I'll probably just shoot it at the range or at my buddys place. The grips are a little chunky for carry, but not out of the question. I need a decent holster for it if I carry though. I like leather over Kydex, and the refinisher commented about the finish being p...

Re: Slight prob. with re assembled,Cerakoted pistol
I got it dirty today, and had zero problems after shooting 100 rounds of reloads.
Guess it just needed to be worked a little.

Re: Installed new Wolff recoil spring and can't remove the s
I've seen people talking about how they have troubles if they don't grind flat the 22lb. Wolf spring. I put mine back together yesterday without doing anything to it, and I can put on, and take off the slide all day long with no trouble. It isn't even that hard to rack the slide. The ends of the spr...

I live about 45 minutes away from this guy. He also did my CZ 82, and that turned out great too. Nice guy also.

Slight prob. with re assembled,Cerakoted pistol
I posted this by mistake in the photo gallery, and didn't know how to delete it from there. Just got it back yesterday, and put it all back together this morning. Replaced the recoil spring with the 22 lb. one ( plus x- power firing pin spring), and installed the 18 lb. hammer spring. I had ordered ...

Re: My new Marschal grips
When I do it that way, it says my files are too large. They're 1.8 or 2mb. I just thought I could put a picture from photo bucket here without having my entire photo bucket library viewable.
Thanks for the help though. I'll try lower quality pictures, I guess.

Re: P 64 with CCR's CP II finish and Marschal zebra wood gri
Very nice! I just got mine (a '74),and am thinking about getting it Cerakoted. The finish isn't the greatest; OK, but not flawless. I bought one back in 2009 from Cabelas, and it looked unissued, but I traded it away in 2011. I bought grips from Dennis 2 weeks ago, so I should get them any day! I ju...
