the first time I shot my P-64 it bit me pretty good, small railroad tracks does anyone else have or had that problem? My hands are not big.

When I bought it here at a small gun shop the guy and his father assured me I didn't need to clean any oil out of it. The gun seemed clean and dry and I had no problem while shooting it. Thank you I do carry it often, but unfortunately don't get to shoot too often. A few weeks back my wife and I had a "date night" our toddler at grandmas so we had fun at the range.

Let me ask you about cleaning. In this manual designed for soldiers it says to clean it once a week even if it has not been fired, should I do that? When I shoot I clean right away but I haven't cleaned that often before.
