Re: new guy in Spokane,WA.
Yes, welcome to the forum. I am or have been a member of many forums in my time but this one is by far and away the best I've ever belonged to. The people here are friendly, very knowledgeable about not only the P 64 but many other firearms as well and are more than willing to share their considerab...

Re: Another ammo shortage coming ?
Thanks for the input, I appreciate it. In the article it does however state that the closing would effect US ammunition manufactures which leads me to believe that at least some of the lead ingots are bought and used here in the US. The prices of ammo in my neck of the woods is still barely changed ...

Another ammo shortage coming ?
Just read today that the last commercial lead smelter in the United States is closing. The HERCULANEUM smelter located in town of Herculaneum, Missouri will be closing however no exact date was given. A company official made this statement when speaking about where the raw materials are slated to be...

Re: Noob needs help. R&R slide. Now trigger does not trip ha
I answered your post and came back to see that it's no longer there. I'll do it again right quick and hope I don't double post. Pull off the slide and grips and check to see if the trigger spring (#19 in the assembly manual) hasn't broken or slipped past the notch on the post on the trigger bar (par...

Re: How to carry...
I carry mine 6+1, safety off, in an iwh holster. I use a left handed holster ( I'm right handed) so as to carry it in the back. A right hand holster, when moved to the back, puts the grip towards the left side of the body making it too hard to grasp in a hurry. I carry my spare mags in two small cel...

Re: CZ82 spring?
Denny, That issue sounds more like a problem in the disconnect but then again we’re venturing into territory that I'm not familiar with. I don't believe the broken sear spring would cause the double action problem that you are describing. I would PM Weasel or Curly or any of the more experienced mem...

Re: CZ82 spring?
Denny Are you referring to the recoil spring that slides over the barrel ? If possible upload a pic of the spring in question. Also remember that 90% of all stoppages, feeding, and extraction problems with this gun are due to improper cleaning or no cleaning at all of the weapon. If it's new to you ...

Re: Snap Caps ? A-Zoom brand jams.
The possibility exists that the recoil spring is too strong. If you have changed out the springs, which is almost a must for these pistols, put the old weaker spring back in it. On these weapons, if the slide does not move fully to the rear all kinds of things happen. Might not be the problem but it...

Re: New Member with a P64 question
Welcome. I use the hogue jr. rubber grip on mine and it's just right after some slipping and trimming. I also have some beautiful tiger wood Marschal grips for mine that I LOVED. It improved my shot placement by at least 40% BUT, because it was so wide it made it very difficult to conceal so sadly t...

Re: 50% increase in ammo prices!
Obama floated this idea a year ago. It's just more liberal bull$hit, like they did with cigarettes. They believe that the bad guys just walk into their local gun shop and buy their ammo like law abiding folks do and, of course no one would ever think to go to Illinois or Indiana and buy their ammo a...
