Re: Another question RE the CZ 82
Personally, I'd feel a whole lot safer carrying it cocked and locked , as opposed to utilizing a pseudo-half cock 'safety'. A lot of people carry them hammer down as well. As for the stopping power of the 9x18mm, I'd say it's perfectly adequate for a self defense round. Bullet placement is vastly mo...

Everyone should own a 98! I'm not big on barleycorn sights, but I still enjoy shooting the old gal. I'm also not big on steel buttplates - which accounts for the recoil pad!dfunk wrote:What a beauty! The 98 is still on my list...one of these days I'll get around to checking things off it!

Re: Mods to a P-64 as a C&R
I'm confused. Once you aquire the pistol, what difference does it make?
If you intend to eventually resell it, why not hang on to the original springs?

Re: WELCOME THREAD AND MEM, INFO
I guess I should have posted here first! I live in South Western Ohio, not too far from the now sadly defunct Ohio Rapid Fire. I mostly collect military rifles and handguns. Just picked up my 1968 P-64 a few weeks ago. Like a lot of people here, I stumbled across this site when I was looking for inf...

I like the look of the 'carbon' grips! I'm curious about these folks too.

Re: New P-64 owner here!
To me, $240 is too much, unless you want one really, really badly and money is no object- a la your typical gunbroker auction. Barring that, I'd look around for a better deal. If you have any gun shows nearby, that would definitely be your best best. Then again, you could try haggling with the guy a...

Glad to hear that nothing major was hit, although I'm guessing you'll be sore for a while. You're to be commended for sharing your story, in the hopes that no one else will have to suffer what you have, or worse. My thought is this: even though the hammer may not move, will the firing pin still move...

Re: New P-64 owner here!
Hey Double Tap, welcome to the site! I love my P64, and I'm thinking of adding a PA63 to my collection. What did you have to pay for your "like new" PA63 and did you buy it local or over the net? If over the net what was the price with shipping, and who did you buy from? Post a picture of...

New P-64 owner here!
Recently, I've begun augmenting my Eastern European handgun collection. I bought a like-new PA-63 about a month ago, and decided that a P-64 would make a nice companion piece for it. I was worried that it might be difficult to find one. Lo and behold, I found a beauty at a gun show in Columbus not t...
