Sad announcement today...
I find the comments by Orchidhunter especially insulting not only in the lack of concern for others, but also due to the fact that he didn't even the guts to state any reasons for his stupid opinion. I had only one opportunity to deal with Makarov.com and found them to be prompt and efficient with m...

If you don;t like Wal-mart, there a place to get more "ammo" against them. Go to your local video store and check out the documentary video that was done on them. One ex wally employee tells how they would drive through a town saying "6 mons.. 12 mons" about the life of the store...

Walmart ID Plans
Walmart has stopped gun sales in my area as well. The last time I bought ammo the sales person knew nothing about what I was looking for. She only had the keys and basically said "find for yourself what you want." Goes along with their buyer beware policies.

Glutton for punishment
I've been looking for an inexpensive third pistol. Today just for jollies I went into a local bait and tackle shop that carries a few pistols with their rifles and shotguns. They had a Makarov for $299 and talking with clerk I mentioned my P 64. He said he had a PA 63 in the back. He brought it out ...

Only carry occasionally depending on what I am doing. When I do it's six in mag, one in pipe, hammer down and safety off. I've practiced drawing and cocking.

What I learned about my p-64 today . . .
The times I've shot my 64 with my former ccw class, I had difficulty flipping up the strongly sprung safety lever in a draw from IWB and fire situation. The instructor suggested carrying safety off and hammer down. Then cock the hammer when drawing. I found this to be must easier and a more confiden...

3 Things I never leave the house without
I found my Uncle Mike's IWB holster at a local outdoor store for less than $20. I've worn it and found it to be quite comfortable and since it was so thin, it was unseen. The only problem I found was on the range. Once the pistol was withdrawn, the holster flattens out making it difficult to replace...

What did you get for Christmas?
Does the car I bought yesterday count? She did let me get it. It is made of metal. Looks nice and is potentially deadly.

Dumb question of the month
Another dumb question for the group. A friend of mine keeps insisting that the barrel and receiver can be removed by taking out one pin and then swapping it for a .380 thus using cheaper ammo. Any thoughts? Is he talking out of a certain part of his anatomy?
