another small pistol

I've got one. Shoots pretty good, but the magazines that came with it are REALLY tight. If I load more than 5 bullets, it won't feed. I'm hoping that it will loosen up with time. I replaced the main spring with an 11lb wolf and the DA trigger pull is much better now.

Is anyone else having trouble reading your message information on the top right of the banner? I can barely make out the verbiage except for "1 message".

NEW PA-63'S X 3...

I don't know Norm. I've got 2 P-64's, 2 Makarovs, and one AP-9 and I just can't get excited about the CZ-82. I think it is the complexity that makes me want to steer clear. In my current European lineup, any idiot can strip them. The CZ-82 looks like it would require too much thinking.

grip issues

It is very easy to over tighten the grip screw. I put the screw all the way in, put a small drop of blue loctite on the threads, and put the nut on "firmly but not over-tight". The loctite does the work of holding it together.

Note to self ....

No matter how much they look alike, a PA-63 magazine does not fit in a P-64. I had reassembled one of my P-64's (complete with loctite on the grip screw threads) and grabbed a magazine from the bence. The magazine went in but wouldn't seat the last 1/8 inch. I thought I had assembled something incor...

Poll: Should I trade a P-64 for a CZ-52?

I disagree about the relative equal values. P-64's seem to be trading in the $160 to $190 range on the aucton sites. CZ-52's can be had for little more than a C-note. I would not do a staight even trade. Make him kick in cash/ammo/something to even out the values.

Good Deal?

The ammo alone is worth about $40 to $45, so yes that is an excellent deal.

Question About Buying a Shotgun

Do not shoot slugs in a barrel with the tube removed. It will screw up the threads. Just use your improved cylinder choke. I diagree with the aforementioned statement about blowing up your barrel with anything tighter than an IC. Many modified owners shoot slugs quite successfully (including your's ...

Big Dooh!

I ordered an extra-power recoil spring and an 18lb hammer spring for my latest P-64 acquisition (Along with replacement springs for several other types of handguns). When they came in on Saturday I layed everything out and started replacing springs. After putting the P-64 back together, I pulled the...

STAR .380?

I certainly did not mean to imply that all Stars were poorly built. I've seen some very good ones. I've also seen some that fell apart when shooting. I think that, like many manufacturers with long histories, quality varied as the company went through various phases of managment. I've heard from a f...

STAR .380?

Star pistols were known for seriously inconsistent quality control. You might get lucky and get one that shoots just fine. Then again, you are just as likely to get one with a part that breaks within the first box or two of shooting and you won't be able to find a replacement part.

My FEG AP's came in

Trent, I don't believe they are. Since the frames are the same, you could probably put the 9mm mag in the AP and vice versa, but I don't think you could load 9x18 ammo into the 7.65 magazine. The .32 rounds go into the magazine pretty snugly so I can't see how the 9x18 would fit.
