P-64 range report
I agree. I have to remind myself not to judge the accuracy of other pistols to the P-64 standards. P-64's are tough to beat on accuracy. The only pistol I have that I can shoot tigher groups with is a 22 revolver with a 6" barrel. That long sight radias makes it easy to hit a pop can at 50 ft.

What I learned about my p-64 today . . .
Garry,
It seems when someone does something like that which puts a sobering scare into them, they tend to never forget it and never repeat the mistake. I'm glad there was no harm done. You'll be a safer shooter now having had it happen.

RUGER LCP 380 ?
From what I've read and heard , the ruger LCP has a better fit and finish than the Kel-tec P38T. It has a slide lock which the Kel-tec does not have as well. I read that they are alike enough to prompt a law suite from Kel-tec. The Ruger goes for about $90 more than the Kel-tec. A good friend of min...

What I learned about my p-64 today . . .
Using that logic, no one would ever carry a loaded revolver. Just like my revolver , all I have to do is draw the P-64 ,aim and pull the trigger. I can't see where carrying the P-64 with safety off is any more unsafe than carrying a revolver style pistol. I don't recommend carrying any gun in a mann...

What I learned about my p-64 today . . .
I carry mine 6 down and 1 in the pipe, hammer down with safety off. My holster has a retension strap to keep it in the holster till I'm ready for it to come out. I use the factory hammer spring so the 1st trigger pull is very stiff. When I remove the gun from the holster I guess I could drop it but ...

P-64 at SOG
electross, I've went there a few times to buy ammo and magazines. They told me to phone my order in so that it is ready when I get there. I have no FFL. You cannot look around at anything there. You must know what you want by checking what they have on the internet or calling to ask. I have not purc...

Sight question
deltacornbread, I painted dots on my sights with the Testors model paint that saands meationed. It does help pick up the sight picture faster. You can get it just about anywhere. In this photo you can see the white dots on the sights. http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h181/redfestiva/dsz.jpg

P-64 at SOG
In another forum I read a few posts about guys that bought bulk quantities of ammo from SOG at the quoted price only to have their credit cards charged a higher amount. When they called to complain they were told that their prices are subject to change without notice and that they would be happy to ...

michaelap,
My P-64 has original grips and original grip screw. The grips are tight and don't move.

NEW TOY (the sequel)
I went to the range today for the first time with the Springer 45. At first I was all over the place. I'd never fired a 45 before and I was anticipating the perceived recoil. Actuallly I was surprised to find the recoil very tame, tamer than the P-64 in fact. What did catch me off guard was the mass...

opinions about buying a 380
I've heard that Bersa magazines are about $40 each. If you like several magazines like I do you might take that into consideration.
