Re: Uncle Mikes #2 pocket as IWB?

Could you post a photo showing it in place? Trying to pick a holster and do not know what to get Sorry, the P64 has went to my best friends home. But after doing this with the P64, I now do the same thing with my other carry guns. Using a Desantis pocket holster works great as IWB. (Remora and Uncl...

Re: WWI &WWII Pistols

After the Germans invaded Czechoslovakia, they took over the CZ factories and continued to produce weapons for Nazi use. After the war, most of these with nazi symbols were destroyed or the markings removed.

Here is my CZ27, with markings

Re: Point of Impact Question

They are more accurate than the latest and greatest flavor of the month pistol, a S&W Shield, which is going back to S&W to correct. P64 sights were always POA=POI.

Re: S&W M&P Shield 40 Vs P64 Pocket Carry

Price comparison, about two surplus P64's for one new shield. $450. After a 10 day ride on our Honda ST1100 to Maine and back, we turned off on a long stretch of road heading west in northern Florida, and were about 3 hours from home. While riding along at around 65mph, I noticed a car rapidly gaini...

Re: S&W M&P Shield 40 Vs P64 Pocket Carry

Initial shooting test was a failure. Sights are off, and had to drop down to 10 yard range to see 3" groups that were 4" high and 4" left of poa. Practice and different ammo should improve groups. After 60 rounds it started dropping mags. This is a known issue with many of the 40 cal ...

Re: S&W M&P Shield 40 Vs P64

But wait, there's more! EDIT: After pocket carrying for a while, a few things noticeable right away. First, the weight and size are no problem. I do not know it is there when seated for long periods of time, and walking is like having a big pocket phone, which I have always had anyway. O.K., maybe a...

S&W M&P Shield 40 Vs P64 Pocket Carry

Picked up an M&P Shield 40 for modern pocket carry comparable to P64. Just got it and will be test firing later today. ( first shooting review in 5th post ) Did quick photo comparison. Almost identical. For those 9mm fans, the 9mm Shield is the same external size as the 40 shown. Note that the p...

Re: Any Makarov bullet casters?

Looks like time to start on .365's. For those that cast these with a Lee mold, are you having any issues in a P-64 with using them at the size they drop, since I don't think a cheap sizer is available? Now that I have the mold, I can answer my own question. Yes, issues as dropped. Slugged bore and ...

Uncle Mikes #2 pocket as IWB?

Saw a post on another forum where a S&W J-frame was used in a J-frame UM size 4 pocket holster as an IWB holster with great results. Just gave my Uncle Mikes size 2 a try with P-64 used as IWB and I could see how this might work well under certain conditions with certain sized people and clothin...

Re: Any Makarov bullet casters?

I started casting a couple months ago, and now the only round I don't yet make is the .365 for the P-64. Worked out a deal with a guy that supplies me with free WW, and wife brings home some Lead/Antimony alloy, so only expense is a little mono I bought and some tin from solder. Ends up costing $0.0...
