New spring weights and extractor question
Steve, Didn't mean to "ding" any of the fine folks on here. I just remember a post where a gun shop or pawn shop changed out the hammer spring and this resulted in failure 2 fire as well as a "hair" S/A trigger. If Wolff comes through this week it all a moot point. It took lots o...

I sent this Email to John at Wolff
John, Posted a request to try and give you some input regarding the results that users have had "playing" with different weight PPK hammer springs. I hope this may help guide your team to design up with a hammer spring that can balance between a safe carry S/A trigger, and an improved D/A ...

Need input ASAP for Wolff!
As per these posts and replies please give your opinion so I can Call/Email John on Monday, it may be of help to him based on our trial and error "research" with different PPK springs(what weight worked best - no mag drops, safe S/A pull, better D/A pull): Email FROM WOLFF 3/2/07: We shou...

Truth, I have heard of this (mag drop) with the 16# and some 18# PPK hammer springs. Do you think there is some balance short of the factory spring weight that will not cause clips to drop, have a safe S/A pull, but also improve D/A pull to some degree... and not cause the hammer to hit as hard caus...

SORRY... I already beat everyone! I put in an order with John for 4 hi-power recoil and 4 reduced power hammer. If this actually happens on schedule I think I deserve a promotion to global moderator for my efforts

Read this Email! Let's hope for the best!!!! Well, I guess you can take credit for actually getting the ball rolling. Based on your email and plea, I was able to persuade Walt that the P64 project should take precedence over other projects. We should have both hammer springs (factory and reduced) a...

4bfox, You sound like an old time Vermonter. The liberals from Massachusetts and New Jersey moving up here are trying to do away with that concept. They all want $$, and they are getting elected!

Cracked Safety/Dry Fire/And Hammer Spring Conn
For some reason I missed the thread about the cracked safeties and the possible connection with excessive dry firing. I wonder if the hammer spring that is rated for hard primers is the root cause? Any thoughts on this? I am thinking about finally admitting I am a stubborn jerk, and should do that m...

BOSSIER CITY GUNSHOW a BUST
I know I 've harped on this before..... But for your purists like me who are waiting on Wolff Springs, make sure if you buy from a dealer that it is from the surplus wholesaler. Not a trade in from someone who clipped-n-cut the springs. I rcall a post about someone who bought from a pawn shop where ...

My Polish and American members...
When I found my first P-64 in my dealers case I was smitten. Simple, compact, and VERY well made. I spent time as an armorer in the military. Although I am far from being an expert, I know a well designed firearm when I see one. Some of the modern wondernines are engineering marvels, but take one ap...

Removing firing pin/spring
Used the point on the end of the file attached to nail clippers to push in the plunger. Crude, but it worked after 1/2 hour of cursing. I'll never take that apart again unless I find a better "tool"!

The Norinco is a good bullet weight (93 Gr). It is a good idea to shoot 93-95 Grain until Wolff Gunsprings develop a heavier recoil spring for the P-64

Conical 9x18????
Why don't they call it ultra then? I know that is a diff cartridge. The "police" make me think it is just a round designed for police. 9x18 tells me it is a Makarov size cartridge. Someone could buy it by mistake and shoot it through their P-64
