Re: Difficult Safety Detent Reassembly

I hope it works out well for you. Just remember to go real light on the oil- don't need it collecting more gunk. Let me know how it works.

Re: Difficult Safety Detent Reassembly

Gary2112, welcome to the brotherhood man. I would recommend not removing any coils from the spring but instead clean up the area where the safety resides, get all the accumulated gunk out and make sure the outside "bearing surface" of the safety is clean as well as the inside of the slide ...

Re: Pics I promised

I have started on the mods, which I detailed here- viewtopic.php?f=1&t=4488#p43374. The front sight is now in place but the rear site blade is not done. Pics coming as soon as I get that done, I promise.

Re: New guy here.

Welcome to the forum. I am a recent new guy myself and have found the information found here very helpful and the members great. The p-64 can be a bit addictive, once bitten it is a hard bug to shake. Welcome!

Re: Need new magazines

Just noted what MrEasytarget said re: FFL or C&R for ordering magazines from SOG(southern ohio gun). I don't have either and they will ship non-firearm items without an FFL or C&R license.

Just picked up two from SOG for 17.95 each. Arrived on time and in good shape.

Pics I promised

Howdy all, I promised I would upload some pics of my P-64 of what it looked like before I start my mods to it. here are some. It ain't the prettiest one I have ever seen, but I think for $150.00 it was a good deal. I will be starting my mods soon. :D http://i1104.photobucket.com/albums/h322/ketchman...

Re: Another way the P-64 can discharge w/o pulling the trigg

I believe that notch that Peewee is talking about is the same thing as the 1/2 cock notch on the 1911, enough forward (read towards the firing pin) will make it jump the notch and strike the pin, which is why it is not regarded as safe.

New Guy

Howdy all, Been lurking around this site on and off for the last few months, checking on what everybody has to say about these cool little pistols. I owned a PA-63 for quite awhile and liked it very much. But I thought the P-64 would be too small to handle recoil well so I did not buy one 4 years ag...
