DA Trig DOA - Somewhat resolved
Norm:
I soaked it overnight in "red" gun-cleaner and sprayed it down with brake cleaner...I've changed all the springs in my other 64 and did not have this issue with it at all.
Which one is the trigger return spring?

DA Trig DOA - Somewhat resolved
New P 64...$165...1973...seemed like a good deal. However, the DA trigger actually STOPS about 3/4 though the pull. I've dropped the hammer spring to an 18#, but the issue remains. HELP!! There must be a mechanical issue in the hammer/trigger components. On SA the trigger works fine. raz Thanks to N...

That is helpful....thanks.
I think I'm going to be good to go for reloading, except for a source of inexpensive lead.
Any suggestions?
I know you cast your own, Norm....how tricky is that? What about another source of either HP or FMJ?

Thanks, Norm. Are you talking about the hand-held Lee that I see in the bottom of the pic?

Anyone recommend a good and reasonably priced case trimmer?
I'm starting on reloading to keep the costs in check and have a mess of them to cut down.

Dura coat
Hey Blinddog:
Did you do the work yourself? What product did you use and what process? Anything else you can contribute to help me along this road?

Dura coat
Does anyone have any experience using the dura coat or dura bake coating? I recently picked up a CZ 82 with some dings. wearmarks and scratches and am wondering if this might give it a better appearance. Let me know...pro and con!

It doesn't look like this is a "forum only" sale...the sale price on the web site is now the same...$149. Did we really get a "deal?"

P64 DA Misfires
You folks ('specially Norm!) have helped me out before...hoping so this time too. I love my little Polish and the Marschall grips, but I can't seem to get the gun to fire on the first DA trigger pull after taking it off safety. It takes 3-4 pulls before it fires and then works fine for the rest of t...

PA-63 safety replacement??
Just a note on the PA63 safety. When I got mine a week ago it took two hands to operate. No amount of cleaner or oil would loosen it up. I finally took the whole slide assembly apart and used brake fluid to clean out the crud. It now works great. good luck with yours.

Thanks so much. Again, you've helped a great deal.
What are your suggestions for spring changes to refine and improve the PA 63?

Can anyone direct me to the schematics for a FEG PA63?
I just picked one up at Centerfire for $109 + shipping and the usual FFL 01 paperwork costs.
I'm planning to redo some of the springs, but aside from some rough edges on the aluminum, it works fine.

As the proud owner of a P64 with new springs (Thanks to Norm!) I'm branching out and getting a P38. I'm wondering who makes custom grips for it???
